Why did GOD Almighty wait 600 years to send Muhammad peace be upon him?
I was asked this question many times by Christians and thought I should make a small article out of it.
First of all, I would like the reader to know well that I am in no position here to speak on behalf of Allah Almighty. I am only giving you what I think is a reasonable answer. It is Ultimately Him, the Almighty, Who Sees and Knows all things and Decides on why and how long it should take for events to occur.
Christians normally raise two interesting questions regarding Muhammad peace be upon him:
1- If the Bible is corrupt as Muslims claim, then why did GOD Almighty wait 600 years to send a new Prophet (Muhammad) after Jesus to show people the Truth?
2- In general, why would GOD Almighty wait for 600 years to send a Prophet after he was foretold by his predecessor?
The second question is usually raised by the Christians who don't have much knowledge about their own Bible, because when Isaiah foretold the coming of Jesus peace be upon him in the Bible, Jesus came 700 years after Isaiah's prophecy.
As for the first question, we must first of all know that it is the Bible first before the Muslims that claims that the Bible is indeed corrupted and unreliable and is mostly filled with man-made cultural laws and corruption! Let us read the following from the Bible:
GOD Almighty Said: "`How can you say, "We [the Jews] are wise, for we have the law of the LORD," when actually the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely?' (From the NIV Bible, Jeremiah 8:8)"
The Revised Standard Version makes it even clearer: "How can you say, 'We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us'? But, behold, the false pen of the scribes has made it into a lie. (From the RSV Bible, Jeremiah 8:8)"
In either translation, we clearly see that the Jews had so much corrupted the Bible with their man-made cultural laws, that they had turned the Bible into a lie!
See Also Deuteronomy 31:25-29 where Moses peace be upon him predicted the corruption/tampering of the Law (Bible) after his death.
The Book of Moses predicted that the Law (Bible) will get corrupted. The Book of Jeremiah which came approximately 826 years after did indeed confirm this corruption.

As to "why did Allah Almighty wait for 600 years to Reveal the Noble Quran; the uncorrupted Noble Scripture to Mankind," as I mentioned above, I am in no position here to speak on behalf of Allah Almighty. But we must clearly know that He the Almighty gives many chances to humans before He damns them.
The current struggle that Christians are living today with different Bibles; differing with each others in the quantity of the Books and the quantity of the contents of each Book, has caused the Christian population to live in a great confusion, not knowing Who GOD Almighty really is. Is He a truin GOD, Dual GOD, or One GOD?
They chose this path of confusion, because they chose to take men's words and false interpretations over GOD Almighty's True and Straight Forward Revelations. For instance, most Christians today are Trinitarian Christians. They refer to Trinity as the "Holy Trinity". Yet, the word "Trinity" itself doesn't even exist in the Bible.
If we look at the Noble Quran on the other hand, we see that more than 1/3 of it speaks about the Absolute Oneness of GOD Almighty! The belief in One True Living Undivided GOD in Islam is beyond questioning, because it is clearly laid out in the Noble Quran.
The Trinitarian Christians on the other hand, chose to take the path of man's false conclusions and interpretations, and decided to come up with a new dogma called the "Holy Trinity", where they split GOD Almighty in three false gods and made a whole new religion out of it, and corrupted the teachings of Jesus peace be upon him to them about the True Oneness of GOD Almighty.
