The Prophecies about Babylon and Persia in the Old Testament:

Throughout the entire Old Testament we see prophecy upon prophecy about the fall of Babylon and all of its gods and idols.  In the Book of Daniel in the Old Testament, we read about how Babylon fell and the Persians took over it:

2 Chronicles 36

19 And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof.
20 And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia:
21 To fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years.

(From the King James Version Bible, 2 Chronicles 36:19-21)

Even in the book of Isaiah, the very last book in the Bible's Old Testament, GOD Almighty prophesied about the fall of pagan babylon and its gods:

Isaiah 47

1 Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.

2 Take the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers.

(From the King James Version Bible, Isaiah 47:1-2)

So technically, as we can see, all of the Bible's Old Testament's prophecies about the destruction of Babylon were yet to come, because even the book of Isaiah; the last book in the Bible's Old Testament, still prophesied about the destruction of babylon and its gods.

Since we saw the fall of Babylon in 2 Chronicles 36:20 above, then basically the prophecy about Babylon's destruction in the book of Isaiah (which came long centuries after all of the books of Chronicles) refers to Persia, since Persia included both Iran and Iraq, while Babylon consisted only of Iraq.

The destruction of Persia and its idols by Islam and the Muslims:

When one studies the fundamentals and history of Islam, he will see Islam simply means believing in the Absolute One Living GOD Almighty and associating no partners with Him.  Islam came and ended idol worship in Arabia and throughout all of the lands that were conquered by the Muslims.

When Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him came with the Message of Islam, two great empires existed during his times:  The Roman and Persian Empires.   Persia covered the modern lands of Iran, Iraq, Southern Turkey and the eastern parts of Syria.  The Roman Empire covered a large part of Europe, North Africa, and many parts of Russia.

The Persians used to worship the fire.  Their religion was called Zoroastism.  This pagan religion that fully dominated all of the lands of Persia was defeated by the Divine Religion of Islam.  Babylon's' and Persia's idols were crushed, and the people of Persia today are all Muslims.

Isaiah 42 clearly prophesied about Muhammad peace be upon him:

Isaiah 42-54 seem to predict Islam and the removal of GOD Almighty's Covenant from the people of Israel.

In the Book of Isaiah: Isaiah in the Bible foretold the story of "Al-alak" that is in the Noble Quran about Muhammad.   Isaiah in the Bible foretold the story of "Al-alak" in the Noble Quran which happened to Muhammad and never happened to any other Prophet.  It is the story where the Angel Gabriel repeatedly commands the Prophet to read, and the Prophet (i.e. Muhammad) repeatedly replies "I can't read".

Isaiah's Vision: He saw Jesus riding a donkey and Muhammad riding a camel.  He also saw the destruction of Babylon (i.e. Iraq today) and its idol gods, and replacing them with a Divine Religion (i.e. Islam today).

Prophet Muhammad was foretold in Isaiah 42.

Jesus told the Jews that GOD Almighty will remove His Covenant from them and give it to the Muslims:

Again, for great details, please visit: Jesus told the Jews that GOD Almighty will take His Kingdom from them and give it to the Muslims.

Conclusion:

As we saw above, the Bible prophesied about the fall and destruction of pagan Babylon.   Pagan Babylon was conquered by pagan Persia, and Persia was utterly defeated by the Muslims, and its pagan religion ended with Islam, and all of the people who lived in its territories ultimately embraced Islam.  Therefore, it is a clear Prophecy about Islam and its Divinity when the Bible's Old Testament talks about the fall of Babylon, the crushing of its idols and pagan religion, and its replacement with a Divine Religion.   That Divine Religion is none other than Islam.
