Rebuttal to Sam Shamouns article
A Series of Answers to Common Questions
By
Shamoun's
main argument in this article is the un-createdness of the Quran, that it existed in
eternity etc. There is no need for me to write a whole word for word rebuttal as these
links already provide enough information about this subject and some objections raises:

http://www.livingislam.org/uncrq_e.html
Nevertheless,
some believe the Quran was created. Some do not. Some believe it has been here in
eternity. No matter which conclusion you choose, it does not cause any problems from an
Islamic perspective.
I will
address some objections that may arise if people believe the Quran is un-created, been
here since eternity:
1- One
objection is that then who was Allah talking to? Was he talking to himself? The answer to
this is that it shows Allahs all knowing knowledge, and he knows the future,
discussing things before they even happen! So instead of trying to bring arguments, one
should look at Allah's power and his knowledge, how he discusses things and teachings
before anything has happened. It is not really He talking to Himself; it is He doing
something planning something for the future.
2- If the
Quran is un-created, and is eternal, then this makes it like God since God is eternal and
un-created. The first thing one should know is the Quran is Allah's speech, so there is a
difference. It is his speech, what you speak is not a living thing. So there is a
difference between the Quran and Allah. The Quran is not God. The Quran is not a living
being.
Those are
the main two objections that are raised up with the two answers that can be given.
