You might not understand, but this song had always lifted my spirit in everything in life. This is why you've been seeing me adding new articles on my site almost everyday for the past several years without tiring, faltering or quitting. See the site's detailed log. Recently, I was asked how I could do it and why? I therefore decided to write this brief article.
Aside from my Faith and adoration to Islam, but music did play a great role as well. By the way, my faith in the past was never that great and I practically didn't care much about it. Islam was never on my agenda and I never even owned a personal copy of the Noble Quran. My Faith started to increase as my Truth seeking increased.
Funny how the CD's name is "My own prison", because this is what I truly lived in in my quest for Truth seeking during my early days of Bible studying when I doubted Islam. The reason why I chose to list this song is because it has a very special place in my heart. I was venerable and overwhelmed by the Christian missionaries and the anti-Islamic sites on the internet. I couldn't tell you how much this song, along with few others, had contributed greatly in having in me the infinite patience required in building my web site's articles and the many time-consuming programs.
Music, especially heavy metal and alternative rock, does energize people, if used wisely. To me, I never allow myself to be unIslamic in my behaviour. We always have to be responsible especially in how we conduct ourselves.
I also didn't build my site for personal recognition. Honest to GOD Almighty, even today, my very own blood family hardly knows anything about my site, which I already put in 1000s of hours and 1000s more to come, insha'Allah (if Allah Almighty is Willing)! I did it because I was angry at the venerability the Muslims were in in the US. Please don't get me wrong here, I still try to set a great example to all of my family members. But I don't go on bragging about my site, and nor do they care anyway.
The Western societies are a great flood that sweeps, without mercy, anything in front of it when it comes to sexual immorality and high sinning. Imagine being raised in such an environment while trying to keep yourself chaste as your Faith tells you. It is virtually impossible!!
Anyway, if you're into Alternative and Rock music, then buy this CD. I highly recommend it.
