Rebuttal to "Prophets and Kings in Israel before the time of Moses?" article:
This article is a rebuttal to Answering Islam's: http://answering-islam.org.uk/Quran/Contra/qbhc02.html.
The "Prophets" in Noble Verse 5:20, which also mean anointed people of GOD Almighty, were Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ishmael, etc... Remember that in the Noble Quran, Allah Almighty did send HOLY REVELATIONS to Prophets before Moses such as Abraham (by speaking directly to Him), Isaac and Ishmael, etc...:
"Say ye: "We believe in God, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) prophets from their Lord: We make no difference between one and another of them: And we bow to God (in Islam)." (The Noble Quran, 2:136)"
"And Isma'il and Elisha, and Jonas, and Lot: and to all We gave favour above the nations: (The Noble Quran, 6:86)"
The People of Israel, or Moses' people, existed before Moses was born. Judaism as a
Religion started with Moses. But the whole System of Faith, or Bigger Religion (that
is bigger than Judaism and even Muhammad's Islam), which is the Religion of Islam
as a Whole, started from the time of Adam peace be upon him and went down through all of
the Prophets and Messengers peace be upon them until Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.
Now as to "made you kings", since the Noble Quran is very pithy and very precise in its Holy Words, then there are few points that must be noticed:
1- The Noble Verse did not say "Kings from you". In other words, no nation can have all of its people as "kings".
2- The Arabic word "Mulook", which is plural for "Malik", which means "King" does literally mean "King" ruler of a monarchy.
3- "made you kings" here is metaphoric or symbolic, and not literal, since not all people in any nation can all be "kings" if we were to take it literally. Only one king can exist at a time, unless they divide into multiple groups, then in this case, one king per group can exist at a time.
4- "Moses said to his people" can also mean or refer to only those blessed ones that followed him.
5- The Jews became "Kings" because:
GOD Almighty said in Exodus 19:3-6: "Then Moses went up to God, and the Lord called to him from the mountain and said, "This is what you are to say to the house of Jacob and what you are to tell the people of Israel: ‘You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself. Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites."
The Kings that "Moses' People", or the blessed people from the Jews that followed the "Right Path" are the Priests that looked as a whole, as a Kingdom to all nations! So every member of them was a symbolic King to all nations. Allah Almighty said in the Noble Quran:
"We did aforetime grant to the Children of Israel the Book the Power of Command, and Prophethood; We gave them, for Sustenance, things good and pure; and We favoured them above the nations. (The Noble Quran, 45:16)"
Allah Almighty also said about Judaism:
"It was We who revealed the law (to Moses): therein was guidance and light. By its standard have been judged the Jews, by the prophets who bowed (as in Islam) to God's will, by the rabbis and the doctors of law: for to them was entrusted the protection of God's book, and they were witnesses thereto: therefore fear not men, but fear me, and sell not my signs for a miserable price. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what God hath revealed, they are (no better than) Unbelievers. (The Noble Quran, 5:44)"
"Those who believe (in the Quran), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in God and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. (The Noble Quran, 2:62)"
