My rebuttal to Sam Shamoun's absurdities regarding Mark 10:18 where Jesus said he was not good:

This article contains detailed rebuttal to Sam Shamoun's article that is located at: http://www.answering-islam.org/Shamoun/q_only_god_good.htm.

He wrote:

A Series of Answers to Common Questions

Sam Shamoun

Question:

How can Jesus be God when he denies being absolutely good, and says that only God is good (cf. Mark 10:18)?

Answer:

The passage, in context, actually says:

"As He was setting out on a journey, a man ran up to Him and knelt before Him, and asked Him, ‘Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?’ And Jesus said to him, ‘Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone.’" Mark 10:17-18

By wrenching such statements out of their immediate and overall contexts, the impression is given that the Lord Jesus is actually denying he is God since he denies that he is good in the sense that God is good. The questioner's logic goes something like this:

  1. God alone is (absolutely) good.
  2. Jesus is not (absolutely) good.
  3. Therefore, Jesus is not God.

This misleading selectivity leads the questioner to erroneously conclude that Jesus was denying his essential goodness. He/she automatically assumes that Jesus is denying his absolute purity without taking into consideration the overall context of Mark, as well as the entire NT, to see if this is indeed what Christ was trying to convey.

In other words, in order to truly understand what Jesus meant we need to interpret his words in the overall Christological picture of the Gospel writers, specifically in light of Mark's Christology. Once this is done it will become quite apparent that the last thing Mark (as well as the other writers) was trying to do was cast doubt on Jesus' absolute sinlessness and Deity.

My response:

It's funny how the polytheist trinitarian pagans constantly try to twist and deceive to prove satan's biggest lie in history, trinity.  Jesus was not "sinlessness".  Jesus also was defeated by a woman's wisdom and changed his racist views about non-Jews being the "Jews' dogs" (see point #7 in the article).  While Mark 10:18 does not mean that Jesus is admitting to be evil (by saying he is not good), but it definitely sets the record straight about him not being GOD Almighty.

As I mentioned in my other article about the Holy Spirit in Islam is a Creation of GOD Almighty, Jesus is not only "not good", but he also has the "Spirit of Fearing GOD Almighty" in him:

Isaiah 11:1-3
1. A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.
2. The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him (Jesus)-- the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD
(Jesus fearing his GOD)--
3. and he will delight in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears;

As we see in Isaiah 11:1-3, there is:

1-  Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding.

2-  Spirit of Counsel and of power.

3-  Spirit of Knowledge.

4-  Spirit of the fear of the LORD.

Also, the verses above say "and he will delight in the fear of the LORD", which clearly proves that Jesus is under GOD Almighty and can not be equivalent to Him or part of Him, because GOD Almighty has no fear in Him.  He Created fear, or the Spirit of Fear, and He installs it on whom ever He pleases.   But He Himself doesn't have that Spirit in Him!

The verses above also say "He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears;...", which further proves that Jesus is not part of GOD Almighty, because GOD Almighty Speaks and Hears whatever He Pleases!

The Bible's New Testament also records Jesus saying: ""Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good–except God alone.(From the NIV Bible, Mark 10:18)"

""Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good—except God alone. (From the NIV Bible, Luke 18:19)"

If Jesus doesn't consider himself as "good", then how can any sane person put him on the same level as GOD Almighty?

I have yet to see a good answer to this one by any polytheist trinitarian.

Also, another important point to notice in Mark 10:18 and Luke 18:19 is the word "alone":   ""Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good–except God alone.(From the NIV Bible, Mark 10:18)"

""Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good—except God alone. (From the NIV Bible, Luke 18:19)"

Jesus in this verse is clearly giving exclusivity to GOD Almighty when he said "alone".  If Jesus was truly part of GOD Almighty and/or the trinity lie was true, then Jesus, to say the least, would not have said that.

"Show me in the Bible where Jesus said he was not GOD!"

I sometimes get asked by trinitarians to show them where Jesus said that he WAS NOT GOD Almighty in the Bible.  Ironically, it is like having this scenario:

Q.  Show me where John Doe said that he was not the President of the United States!  Show me the quote now!!

A.  He just said he works as a computer programmer you brainless idiot! :-)

Jesus said he was not good.  He can't possibly say I am your Creator and by the way I am not good.  The question itself shows the complete ignorance about what's written in the bible and reveals the total blasphemy and darkness that polytheist trinitarian pagans are living in.

Jesus is not GOD!  The GOD Almighty of the Old Testament BOASTS about Himself!  He countlessly reminds the Jews about Worshiping Him and only Him because He is the "One who took them out of Egypt", and He's the "One who Saved them from Pharaoh", etc...  Not only that, but He also Punishes to death anyone who profanes His Holy and Blessed Name.

Jesus can not be this Holy and Mighty and Arrogant and Absolute GOD Almighty when he, for instance, escaped to Egypt for his life from King Herod!   The GOD Almighty's Divine Characteristics in the Old Testament can not in anyway fit Jesus who is not "good" and who runs for his life from a creation of GOD Almighty.

For more information, please visit: Jesus had no Divine Will according to the New Testament. How could he be our Creator?

I have ample detailed refutations to the lie of trinity on my site.  You can further see them to clearly understand that GOD Almighty is an Absolute One and only One and not a unity or trinity as satan claims.

The "God" title in the Bible was given to others in the Old and New Testaments.    Answering Isaiah 9:6.  The "El" (God) title that was given to Jesus in the Old Testament, and the "HOTHEOS" (God) title in the New Testament, were given to others before and after Jesus in the Bible.  The only UNIQUE title that exists in the Bible is "Yahweh", which means "The Eternal".

Emanuel, Emmanuel, Yahshua, Yeshua, Yashua, Immanuel and Imanuel.  These were all "Godly" names given to others before and after Jesus in the Bible.  None of them is unique.   Only "Yahweh" was GOD Almighty's Unique Name.

He wrote:

Here are some citations from Mark which helps put things in proper perspective:

"In those days Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. Immediately coming up out of the water, He saw the heavens opening, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon Him; and a voice came out of the heavens: 'You are My beloved Son, in You I AM WELL-PLEASED.'" Mark 1:9-11

"Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an evil spirit cried out, ‘What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are - the Holy One of God!’ ‘Be quiet!’ said Jesus sternly. ‘Come out of him!’ The evil spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek. The people were all so amazed that they asked each other, What is this? A new teaching - and with authority! He even gives orders to evil spirits and they obey him." Mark 1:23-27

"After six days Jesus took Peter, James and John with him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There he was transfigured before them. His clothes became dazzling white, whiter than anyone in the world could bleach them. And there appeared before them Elijah and Moses, who were talking with Jesus. Peter said to Jesus, ‘Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters - one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.’ (He did not know what to say, they were so frightened.) Then a cloud appeared and enveloped them, and a voice came from the cloud: ‘This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him!’" Mark 9:2-7

"He had one more to send, a beloved son; he sent him last of all to them, saying, 'They will respect my son.' But those vine-growers said to one another, 'This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours!'" Mark 12:6-7

Jesus is God's beloved Son, his Holy One and Heir, with whom God is pleased. For God to say that he is well pleased with the Lord Jesus, and for him to be called God's Holy One, implies that Christ is absolutely good and morally pure.

My response:

Before I debunk the above verses, let us first look at the proofs of historic corruptions in the "Gospel of Mark" and throughout the bible using the Bible's theologians own words:

From www.answering-christianity.com/authors_gospels.htm:

The Gospel of Mark:

Note:   This gospel is the oldest and supposedly the most original one in the New Testament!

"Although there is no direct internal evidence of authorship, it was the unanimous testimony of the early church that this Gospel was written by John Mark.
(From the NIV Bible Commentary, page 1488)"

So, in reality, we don't really know whether Mark was the sole author of this Gospel or not. And since The New Testament wasn't even documented on paper until 150-300 years (depending on what Christian you talk to) after Jesus, then how are we to know for sure that the current "Gospel of Mark" wasn't written by some pro of Mark?

I hope you see the real danger in making these assumptions when you are willing to DIE for the fact that such Gospel is the actual True Word of GOD Almighty!

Further regarding this Gospel, we read the following commentary about Mark 16:9-20:

"Serious doubts exists as to whether these verses belong to the Gospel of Mark.  They are absent from important early manuscripts and display certain peculiarities of vocabulary, style and theological content that are unlike the rest of Mark.  His Gospel probably ended at 16:8, or its original ending has been lost(From the NIV Bible Foot Notes, page 1528)"

This quote raises a very serious issue here.  First of all, as we've seen above in the first quote, we have no evidence that proves that John Mark was the sole author of this so called "Gospel".  Second of all, we see that this Gospel has some serious problems/suspicions in it.  The issue of Mark 16:9-20 is a scary one, because many Christian cults today use poisonous snakes in their worship and end up dying.

Removing Mark 16:9-20 is quite appreciated by me personally (to be quite honest with you), because it prevents people from dying from snake bites.  But however, the serious issue of man's corruption of the Bible remains.

We can be absolutely certain now that the above quotes prove without a doubt that the Bible is doubtful.  The quote "or its original ending has been lost" proves that what we call today "Gospels" were not written by their original authors such as Mark, John, Matthew, etc...  It proves that the Gospel had been tampered with by man.  Let alone considering it as the True Living Words of GOD Almighty.

If John Mark wasn't the one who wrote Mark 16:9-20, then who did? And how can you prove the ownership of the other person? Let alone proving that it was GOD Almighty's Revelation.  And as we saw in the first quote above, we don't even know that John Mark was indeed the one who wrote the so called "Gospel of Mark".

To say the least in our case here, we now have enough evidence to discard the entire Gospel of Mark from the Bible, because you can't take bits and pieces of it and say some of it belongs to him and some of it doesn't!  Let alone considering the entire corrupted Gospel as the True Living Word of GOD Almighty, which is a complete blasphemy.

Please visit A dangerous forgery was inserted at the end of the so-called "Gospel of Mark".

Here is an email that I received from a Christian regarding Mark 16:17-18:

From: R. Mercer
To: truthspeaks@answering-christianity.com
Subject: I Totally Agree
Date: Sun, 1 Apr 2001 13:41:57 -0700

"What credibility does Christianity have when it scriptures are littered with such dangerous and obvious forgeries?"

You summed it up very well on your web page. That is my question entirely. Just what are we to believe? If forgeries have been proven to exist in the Bible, then how many more must there be? What about the chapters and verses we all guide our whole life/styles by? Are they forgeries, too?

This verse in Mark 16:17-18, has always bothered me. I have, and still do believe the rest of that passage (laying on of hands, healing the sick,...), so how can that part of the passage be true when the serpent part is forged?

I know the part on drinking any poison says "IF", but the part on taking up serpents says "SHALL", which has always been a problem for me to believe. Imagine us all being forced to take up serpents in order to serve God.

On the other hand, if this was forged, then that creates an even bigger concern for me. Not knowing what text in our Bible is authentic and what is not.

Thanks for letting me take up so much of your time. Like I said before, this passage always bothered me, probably more so than any other.

Thanks, once again. Good Day.

Now my detailed refutation to the verses mentioned by Sam Shamoun:

1-  Mark 1:9-11 "In those days Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. Immediately coming up out of the water, He saw the heavens opening, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon Him; and a voice came out of the heavens: 'You are My beloved Son, in You I AM WELL-PLEASED.'"

Jesus was not never the only one called "son of God" in the bible.  Many before him and after him were called "sons of God" and, believe it or not, they were also called "God" as well:

Sons of God:

From www.answering-christianity.com/son_of_god.htm:

Hebrews 11:17 "By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice.  He who had received the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son...."

Exodus 4:22 "Thus saith Jehovah, Israel is my son, even my firstborn."

Jeremiah 31:9 "I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn."

Please visit: "Son of God" means "Servant of God" in Hebrew. Bible agrees with Islam, not with pagan trinity.

The Gods:

Note:  The only unique title that was giving to GOD Almighty in the Bible is Yahweh or Jehovah.  No one was ever called Yahweh except for Him.  The "God" ("El" in Hebrew and "Hotheos" in Greek") was given to many before and after Jesus in the Bible.

From www.answering-christianity.com/godtitle.htm:

Psalm 82:6  "I said, 'You are "gods"; you are all sons of the Most High.' "   "gods" here in Hebrew is "Elohim", which is plural of "EL".  It is the same exact thing as "EL" used for Jesus in Isaiah 9:6, since "gods" is a combination of several "EL"s.  And as clearly shown here, for someone to be called "god" or "God" in the Bible it wouldn't make him GOD Almighty Himself, the LORD or Jehovah.  I also want to point out that any "Son of GOD" in the Bible is a "god" or "God".

See also: The definition of "Son of God" in Islam.

"Son of God" means "Servant of God" in Hebrew. Bible agrees with Islam, not with pagan trinity.

"Allah" was GOD Almighty's Original Name in the Bible according to Hebrew and Aramaic sources.

..........

1-  Jerusalem was called "The LORD our Righteousness".  "In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will live in safety. This is the name by which it will be called: The LORD Our Righteousness (Yahweh tsidkenû).'  (From the NIV Bible, Jeremiah 33:16)"

2- Ezekiel means "Strong God".  It also means "Yahweh is Strong God".

3- Elijah.  This name is short for EliJehovah or "Eli Yahweh".  Eli means my GOD, and Yahweh is the name and title of GOD Almighty in the Bible.  Does "Eli Yahweh" or Elijah mean that the person is Jehovah Himself?

4- Israel means "Challenge God", "he struggles with God", or "fight with God".  It also means "Defeat God".

5- Gabriel also means "Strong God".

6- Isaiah or Jesaiah, which is short for "Jesa Yahweh" means "Salvation from Yahweh".  It could also mean "Salvation".

7- Joshua, which is short for "Josh Yahweh" means "Yahweh Saves".

.......

There is also another reason for not capitalizing the "G" in John 1:1, considering the Greek of the above verse which disproves the assertion that Jesus is referred to as God in the verse. In the verse above, the first time the word God is used, the Greek is HOTHEOS (the same exact word given to Satan as God in 2 Corinthians 4:4. The NIV Bible Author wrote "god" for Satan instead of "God"), which means The God. The second time the word God is used,"....and the word was God," the word for God is TONTHEOS, which means "a god".  Europeans have evolved a system of capital and small letters non-existent in Greek. The God, HOTHEOS is translated as God with a capital G, whereas Tontheos, which means A or ANY God is translated with a small g, god. In this case however, we see the unlawful translators trying to prove Jesus being God by putting capital G for both whereas it doesn't belong in the case of the "word".

Here is how 2 Corinthians 4:4 is read in the current English translation of the NIV Bible:

"The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.  (From the NIV Bible, 2 Corinthians 4:4)"

It should've been written as "The God of this age....." since the same Greek word was used for Jesus in describing him for being a "God".

2-  Mark 1:23-27  "Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an evil spirit cried out, ‘What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are - the Holy One of God!’ ‘Be quiet!’ said Jesus sternly. ‘Come out of him!’ The evil spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek. The people were all so amazed that they asked each other, What is this? A new teaching - and with authority! He even gives orders to evil spirits and they obey him."

So Jesus being the "Holy One of God" makes him the Creator of the Universe?  I wonder what the polytheist trinitarian pagan will say about the following "Holy Men" in his bible:

Exodus 22:31
"You are my own holy people. Therefore, do not eat any animal that has been attacked and killed by a wild animal. Throw its carcass out for the dogs to eat."

Exodus 31:13
"Tell the people of Israel to keep my Sabbath day, for the Sabbath is a sign of the covenant between me and you forever. It helps you to remember that I am the LORD, who makes you holy."

Leviticus 22:16
"by allowing unauthorized people to eat them. The negligent priest would bring guilt upon the people and require them to pay compensation. I am the LORD, who makes them holy."

Deuteronomy 7:6
"For you are a holy people, who belong to the LORD your God. Of all the people on earth, the LORD your God has chosen you to be his own special treasure."

Ezra 9:2
"For the men of Israel have married women from these people and have taken them as wives for their sons. So the holy race has become polluted by these mixed marriages. To make matters worse, the officials and leaders are some of the worst offenders."

It is obvious that Sam Shamoun never heard of any "holy" person in the bible beside Jesus.

Or was Shamoun perhaps purposely lying?  I'll let the reader decide.

Now as to the evil spirits that ran away from Jesus, I have covered this in great details in the following articles:

None of Jesus' Miracles were unique.   Others too raised the dead, healed the blind, etc....

Jesus "suffered" from satan during the 40 days of temptations.

The fact that Jesus "suffered" from satan clearly, once again, proves that he is not GOD Almighty.

3-  Mark 9:2-7  "After six days Jesus took Peter, James and John with him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. Listen to him!’"

Again, as proven clearly in point #1 above, "Son of God" doesn't mean anything!   On the contrary, "son of God" in the original Hebrew means "Servant of GOD."

Again, please visit: "Son of God" means "Servant of God" in Hebrew. Bible agrees with Islam, not with pagan trinity.

4-  Mark 12:6-7  "He had one more to send, a beloved son; he sent him last of all to them, saying, 'They will respect my son.' But those vine-growers said to one another, 'This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours!'"

Again, these verses don't mean anything in regards to Jesus being our Creator.  Also, according to the early Christians' doctrines, the crucifixion never happened, which perfectly agrees with Islam!

For more details, please visit:

The early Christians rejected Trinity.   Early Christians had major problems and disagreements about who truly Jesus was and whether or not he got crucified or not.

Early Christians' Doctrines confirm Jesus DID NOT GET crucified.  See proofs that the early Christians' scriptures during the 1st and 2nd centuries claimed that GOD Almighty Saved Jesus from crucifixion.

I also want to remind the reader about the corruption of the "Gospel of Mark" and the entire bible as I clearly shown above!

So in other words, nothing Shamoun presents is reliable from the first place, and nor does it prove his polytheist trinity lie.

He wrote:

"... And they came, bringing to Him a paralytic, carried by four men ... And Jesus seeing their faith said to the paralytic, ‘My son, your sins are forgiven.’ But there were some of the scribes sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, ‘Why does this man speak that way? He is blaspheming; who can forgive sins but God alone?’ And immediately Jesus, aware in His spirit that they were reasoning that way within themselves, said to them, ‘Why are you reasoning about these things in your hearts? Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, "Your sins are forgiven"; or to say, "Arise take up your pallet and walk"? But in order that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins’ - He said to the paralytic - ‘I say to you, rise, take up your pallet and go home.’ And he rose and immediately took up the pallet and went out in the sight of all; so that they were all amazed and were glorifying God, saying, ‘We have never seen anything like this.’" Mark 2:3, 5-12

"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many." Mark 10:45

"And He said to them, ‘This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.’" Mark 14:24

Christ can forgive sins on the basis of his having the divine authority to do so, and as a result of his forfeiting his own life as a ransom for others. Again, the only way Christ can forgive sins and die as a ransom is if he were sinless. Otherwise, he would need to be forgiven of his own sins and would be in need of a ransom.

My response:

Again, the so-called "Gospel of Mark" had been corrupted and altered according to the bible's own theologians themselves.  While the verses above still do not prove Jesus to be the Creator of the Universe, but it is important to know that people did add lies and opinions and personal interpretations to the bible's gospels and books.   This means that it is absolutely absurd to derive the conclusion of the trinity lie out of them.

Having said that, let us now see the refutation to the above verses:

Jesus had no Divine Will, and escaped for his life from men!

His "authority" on earth was temporal and given by GOD Almighty Himself according to the bible:

From http://www.answering-christianity.com/jesus_had_no_will.htm:   (Section #8 directly proves that Jesus had temporal authority on earth)

Jesus had no Divine Will according to the New Testament.  How could he be our Creator?

The sections of this article are:

1-  Jesus said he had no Divine Will.
2-  Jesus' repetitive Prayers contradicted his very own teachings.
3-  Jesus begged GOD Almighty for Mercy.
4-  Jesus prostrated to GOD Almighty only once during his most desperate times! This is hypocrisy by the way.
5-  GOD Almighty Created pain and death, and yet, Jesus feared them.
6-  The GOD of the O.T. Punishes to death those who cursed HIS HOLY NAME. How could Jesus escape to Egypt from King Herod and still be this Mighty and Arrogant GOD?
7-  In original Hebrew, "son of GOD" literally means "SERVANT OF GOD".  See proofs.
8-  What about the authority in Heaven and Earth that was given to Jesus?
9-  None of Jesus' Miracles were unique in the Bible.
10-  Conclusion.

1-  Jesus said he had no Divine Will:

Let us look at the following from the Bible:

Matthew 26:36-44

36.  Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, "Sit here while I go over there and pray."
37.  He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled.
38.  Then he said to them, "My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me."
39.  Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me.
Yet not as I will, but as you will."
40.  Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. "Could you men not keep watch with me for one hour?" he asked Peter.
41.  "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak."
42.  He went away a second time and prayed, "My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done."
43.  When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy.
44.  So he left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing.

There are a number of alarming verses in the Bible that pass through the polytheist trinitarian christians without being noticed or pondered upon.  Matthew 16:39 above raises a very serious red flag about Jesus being our so-called "Creator" and the whole lie of the polytheist trinity paganism religion.    Jesus in the verse openly admitted that he basically had no Divine Will -- that he is nothing without GOD Almighty -- that he is just a creation from GOD Almighty.

This is by the way was not the first time Jesus openly admits this.  There are several verses and situations where Jesus refuted the polytheist trinity pagan lie:

1-  Mark 10:18 Jesus said “And Jesus said to him, ‘Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone.”  AND Luke 18:19 Jesus said ""Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good—except God alone."

2-  John 14:28 Jesus said "My Father (GOD) is greater than I"

3-  John 8:28 Jesus said "I do nothing of myself"

4-  Matthew 24:36 Jesus said "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."

5-  Even in the Old Testament, the foretold Prophet, Jesus, was said to have the Spirit of Fearing GOD Almighty in him:

Isaiah 11:1-3 "1. A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.
2. The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him (Jesus)-- the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of
counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD
(Jesus fearing his GOD)--
3. and he will delight in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or
decide by what he hears with his ears;"

6-  Also, the "God" (hotheos) title that was given to Jesus was also given to many others before him and after him in the Bible.  Ironically, even satan was called "hotheos" (God) in the New Testament.  The only Unique Attribute for GOD Almighty that wasn't given to anyone else beside GOD Almighty is "Yahweh", which means "The Eternal".  Please visit: www.answering-christianity.com/godtitle.htm to see the full proofs.

2-  Jesus' repetitive Prayers contradicted his very own teachings:

Let us look at Matthew 26:36-44 again, and Matthew 6:5-8:

"And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be HEARD FOR THEIR MUCH SPEAKING. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.  (From the KJV Bible, Matthew 6:5-8)"

How many times did Jesus pray over the same thing in such a small period of time?    3 times.  Let us look at the following verse:

"One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God.  (From the NIV Bible, Luke 6:12)"

When Jesus prayed all night long in Luke 6:12, did he not repeat his prayers?  His main focus was on GOD Almighty saving him from the crucifixion.  Jesus' prayers all night long, which obviously were far more than just 3 times, were repetition after repetition after repetition!

3-  Jesus begged GOD Almighty for Mercy:

Let's again go back to Matthew 16:39:

Matthew 26:36-44

36.  Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, "Sit here while I go over there and pray."
37.  He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled.
38.  Then he said to them, "My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me."
39.  Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed,
"My Father, if it is possible, MAY THIS CUP be taken from me.

Notice in Matthew 16:39 Jesus begged GOD Almighty to take his soul (kill Jesus in other words) so that he wouldn't have to go through the suffering of the crucifixion.  Does GOD Almighty really beg?  Let alone, does HE ever beg for mercy?

4-  Jesus prostrated to GOD Almighty only once during his most desperate times!  This is hypocrisy by the way:

Let's again go back to Matthew 16:39:

Matthew 26:36-44

36.  Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, "Sit here while I go over there and pray."
37.  He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled.
38.  Then he said to them, "My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me."

We Muslims prostrated with our faces down to the ground to GOD Almighty at least a total of 17 times in the 5-daily sets of Prayers.  We do it while we're not desperate to seek GOD Almighty's Mercy.  Jesus on the other hand so hypocritically compromised again his "prayer rules" and he eventually found the BEST WAY to worship GOD Almighty!  He found it during his most desperate times.  No Prayer is better than putting your face down to the ground before THE LORD ALMIGHTY, your Creator, and make your wishes and Prayers to Him while your face is humbled down to the ground before HIM.

The fact that Jesus compromised even his rules of Praying and prostrated to GOD Almighty like we Muslims do ONLY PROVES that the Islamic way of Praying is indisputably THE BEST WAY, even according to Jesus himself (not that I as a Muslim require his approval)!!

It also proves beyond the shadow of the doubt that Jesus is NOT my Creator, because my Creator is THE ALMIGHTY GOD who doesn't beg and cry and pray to anyone.

5-  GOD Almighty Created pain and death, and yet, Jesus feared them:

Let's again go back to Matthew 26:36-44:

The very fact that Jesus begged GOD Almighty for Mercy because he feared the pain and death of the crucifixion proves that Jesus FEARED PAIN AND DEATH!  Yet, the Creator of this Universe, GOD Almighty, did also Create pain and death.  It doesn't make any sense that GOD would fear the pain and death that He Created.  This again proves that Jesus is not the Creator of the Universe.

Don't forget also that according to the Old Testament, Jesus was supposed to have the Spirit of Fear (Fearing GOD Almighty) in him:

Isaiah 11:1-3

I don't know about your god, but my GOD Almighty doesn't fear anything!

6-  The GOD of the O.T. Punishes to death those who cursed HIS HOLY NAME. How could Jesus escape to Egypt from King Herod and still be this Mighty and Arrogant GOD?

If Jesus is our Creator as the polytheist trinitarian pagans believe, then how could he run away from King Herod to Egypt, while GOD Almighty in the Old Testament Punishes to death those who even curse his Holy Name?

How could GOD be so Mighty and Arrogant in the Old Testament, and yet be a total pussy who runs away from a creation of His in the New Testament?

Let us look at what the Bible says:

Leviticus 24
15 Say to the Israelites: 'If anyone curses his God, he will be held responsible;
16 anyone who blasphemes the name of the LORD must be put to death. The entire assembly must stone him. Whether an alien or native-born, when he blasphemes the Name, he must be put to death.

Matthew 2
13 When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. "Get up," he said, "take the child (Jesus) and his mother (Mary) and ESCAPE to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him."
14 So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt,
.........
19 After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt
20 and said, "Get up, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who were trying to take the child's life are dead."

There are few points to notice here:

1-  Jesus can not be the Arrogant and Sovereign GOD Almighty who Punishes to death those who Curse His Holy Name, because he escaped to Egypt from the fear of getting killed.  Even if GOD was a "baby", that still should not take away even an atom from His Will, Might, Glory, Sovereignty and Holiness.  Jesus' escape certainly erases all of that and makes GOD a weak, absolutely helpless and coward -- that is assuming that the polytheist trinity pagan LIE is true, which it isn't.

2-  For those Roman Catholic pagans who worship Mary, Mary too can not be a GODDESS because she too escaped to Egypt.  She can't be the wife of GOD Almighty.  And GOD Almighty does not have wives anyway:

"To Him is due the primal origin of the heavens and the earth: How can He have a son when He hath no consort? He created all things, and He hath full knowledge of all things. (The Noble Quran, 6:101)"

Say: He is God, the One and Only; God, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him.  (The Noble Quran, 112:1-4)"

"They say: 'God hath begotten a son' :Glory be to Him.-Nay, to Him belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth: everything renders worship to Him.  (The Noble Quran, 2:116)"

7-  In original Hebrew, "son of GOD" literally means "SERVANT OF GOD".  See proofs:

Please visit:

"Son of God" literally means "Servant of God" in Hebrew.  Bible agrees with Islam, not with pagan trinity and today's wrong and twisted translations of "Son of God".

The Bible directly claims that ANY "Son of GOD" is a "God"! (Refutation to Jesus' being God meaning that he is GOD Almighty).

The definition of "Son of God" in Islam.

Son of GOD: Some Muslims' Misconception.

"Son of Man" does not mean "GOD" or "Son of GOD"

8-  What about the authority in Heaven and Earth that was given to Jesus?

Let us look at what the Bible says:

Matthew 28
17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Luke 4
5 The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world.
6 And he said to him, "I will give you all their authority and splendor, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to.
7 So if you worship me, it will all be yours."

Luke 10
18 He replied, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.
19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."

Few points to notice:

1- In Matthew 28:17, it is important to know that the polytheist trinitarian pagan liars of the English translation purposely put "worshiped him" to make Jesus appear to be the GOD of the Universe.  The correct translation is "kneeled to him".   The reason I say this is because people in the Bible are kneeled to and even prostrated to:

1 Samuel 24
7 With these words David rebuked his men and did not allow them to attack Saul. And Saul left the cave and went his way.
8 Then David went out of the cave and called out to Saul, "My lord the king!" When Saul looked behind him, David bowed down and prostrated himself with his face to the ground.
9 He said to Saul, "Why do you listen when men say, 'David is bent on harming you'?

Notice how David called Saul "my lord".    While this is elaborated on much greatly in this article, but I just find it quite ridiculous that trinitarian Christians use "Jesus is lord" as a desperate proof for their lies about Jesus being our so-called "Creator".

Also, when David prostrated his face down to the ground to Saul, was he worshiping Saul as if Saul was GOD Almighty?

Please visit:  www.answering-christianity.com/worship_jesus.htm for more details and refutations.

2- In Luke 4:5-6, even satan had been given "power" and "authority".

3- In Luke 10:18-20, we again see that satan had been given a great authority, and Jesus gave the authority that was given to him to his disciples so they can over come the evil of satan.

4-  Since Jesus was GIVEN the "authority" and "power", then this obviously means that GOD Almighty Gave it to him.  It also means that Jesus DID NOT OWN this authority and power.  He had to wait for it to be GIVEN to him from GOD Almighty.

5-  The speech in Matthew 28:17-19 is a figurative one.  I've written a detailed article showing many examples of obvious figurative and metaphoric speech in the Bible.

9-  None of Jesus' Miracles were unique in the Bible:

Many trinitarians falsely claim that since Jesus performed awesome miracles then he must be the Creator of the Universe.  What they apparently don't know is that none of Jesus' miracles were unique!  Prophets in the Old Testament before Jesus did raise the dead, cure the blind, heal leprosy, etc...

No Prophet could perform any type of Miracle without the Permission and Will of Allah Almighty:

"It is not fitting for a man that God should speak to him except by inspiration, or from behind a veil, or by the sending of a messenger to reveal, with God's permission, what God wills: for He is Most High, Most Wise.  (The Noble Quran, 42:51)"

Please visit:  Jesus' Miracles were not unique in the Bible.

By the way, "Allah" was GOD Almighty's original Name in the Bible according to the Hebrew and Aramaic sources.

10-  Conclusion:

After reading all of this, do you still have the slightest doubt that Jesus is only a creation of GOD Almighty and a great Prophet?  Do you still believe in the biggest lie satan ever invented, which is the polytheist trinity paganism?

Embrace Islam, the True and Divine Religion of GOD Almighty, and you will be saved!    Islam is very simple and requires no mediators between you and your Creator.    If you believe in the Absolute One and Living GOD Almighty and associate no partners (gods, idols, human, etc...) with Him, then you have become a Muslim.  You do not need to believe in satan's invented LIES about believing in a mediator (Jesus or anyone else) to be between you and your Creator.  You have been given the irrevocable Divine Right to have a straight and direct relationship with GOD Almighty:

"When My servants ask thee concerning Me, I am indeed close (to them): I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calleth on Me: Let them also, with a will, Listen to My call, and believe in Me: That they may walk in the right way.   (The Noble Quran, 2:186)"

"It was We Who Created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him:  for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein.  (The Noble Quran, 50:16)"

"Say: He is God, the One and Only; God, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him.  (The Noble Quran, 112:1-4)"

"Then Praise be to Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth- Lord and Cherisher of all the worlds!  To Him be Glory throughout the heavens and the earth: and He is Exalted in Power, Full of Wisdom!.  (The Noble Quran, 45:36-37)

"Say: 'O People of the Book (i.e., Jews and Christians)!    Come to common terms as between us and you:  That we worship none but Allah; that we associate no partners with Him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than Allah.'  If then they turn back, say ye: 'Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah's Will).'  (The Noble Quran, 3:64)"

As you've also seen above, the Biblical "Son of God" is only an invented LIE about GOD Almighty having children, Divine Children.  In the original Hebrew, "son of GOD" literally means "Servant of GOD".   GOD Almighty Has no sons and no partners.  Everything beside Him is a creation.

He wrote:

"Consequently, the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath." Mark 2:28

God alone is sovereign over his own Sabbath:

"For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a sabbath of complete rest, a holy convocation. You shall not do any work; it is a sabbath to the LORD in all your dwellings." Leviticus 23:3

The only way that Christ could be Lord over the Sabbath is if he is God, and yet to be God is to be absolutely good.

"For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels." Mark 8:38

"And Jesus began to say, as He taught in the temple, 'How is it that the scribes say that the Christ is the son of David? David himself said in the Holy Spirit, "THE LORD SAID TO MY LORD, 'SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND, UNTIL I PUT YOUR ENEMIES BENEATH YOUR FEET.'" David himself calls Him 'Lord'; so in what sense is He his son?' And the large crowd enjoyed listening to Him." Mark 12:35-37

"Then they will see THE SON OF MAN COMING IN CLOUDS with great power and glory. And then He will send forth the angels, and will gather together HIS ELECT from the four winds, from the farthest end of the earth to the farthest end of heaven." Mark 13:26-27

"But He kept silent and did not answer. Again the high priest was questioning Him, and saying to Him, 'Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?' And Jesus said, 'I AM; and you shall see THE SON OF MAN SITTING AT THE RIGHT HAND OF POWER, and COMING WITH THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN.'" Mark 14:61-62

Christ is identifying himself as the Son of Man whom the prophet Daniel saw in a vision, the very One who reigns forever and whom all must serve:

"I kept looking in the night visions, And behold, with the clouds of heaven One like a Son of Man was coming, And He came up to the Ancient of Days And was presented before Him. And to Him was given dominion, Glory and a kingdom, That all the peoples, nations and men of every language Might serve Him His dominion is an everlasting dominion Which will not pass away; And His kingdom is one Which will not be destroyed." Daniel 7:13-14

Thus, Jesus is the Son of Man who sits enthroned forever at God's right hand as Lord over all the angels and the entire creation!

My response:

The breaking of the Sabbath was one of the many abrogated laws in the bible, in both the Old and New Testaments!  I have written a detailed article about abrogations in the Bible at: http://www.answering-christianity.com/abrogation_in_bible.htm.

Jesus being called "The lord of the Sabbath" doesn't mean anything.   Jesus was GOD Almighty's Prophet and the Jews' Messiah.  It is only ordinary and normal for him to be addressed as "lord" and "master", etc...

And once again, I want to remind the reader about the irrefutable corruptions and man's alterations in the so-called "Gospel of Mark" and the entire bible as well.

Jesus' Kingdom?

As to Jesus' kingdom in the book of Daniel, again, it doesn't mean anything, because Jesus' earthly kingdom or "authority" that was given to him by GOD Almighty is all temporal.  It is also worth mentioning that the city of Jerusalem was given a much stronger title than Jesus had:

From www.answering-christianity.com/godtitle.htm:

It should've been written as "The God of this age....." since the same Greek word was used for Jesus in describing him for being a "God".

.........

He wrote:

These are just some of the many passages from Mark that establish the absolute purity and sinlessness of the Lord Jesus. Here are several from John's Gospel:

"Simon Peter answered him, ‘Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We believe and know that you are the Holy One of God.’" John 6:68-69

"He who speaks on his own does so to gain honor for himself, but he who works for the honor of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him." John 7:18

"The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him ... Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don't you believe me?" John 8:29, 46

"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep ... I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me." John 10:11, 14

My response:

In regards to Jesus being the holy one of GOD Almighty, I will post point #2 above to clearly show the absurdity of Sam Shamoun's claim:

And in regards to Jesus' challenge in John 8:29, 46 about him being without sin, yes he sinned.  His hypocrisy about bowing down to GOD Almighty only during his most desperate times, and his compromise of his commands about not doing "vain repetitions" in prayers while he prayed the same exact prayer about not getting crucified ENDLESSLY in one night prove that Jesus was not perfect!

Again, please visit:

Jesus was a hypocrite for bowing down to GOD Almighty only during his most desperate times!

Jesus also was defeated by a woman's wisdom and changed his racist views about non-Jews being the "Jews' dogs" (see point #7 in the article).

I openly challenge Sam Shamoun to prove that Jesus was perfect in the Bible!

He wrote:

To summarize the preceding data, we learned that:

  1. Jesus is God's Holy One.
  2. Jesus is God's beloved Son.
  3. Jesus is the Heir.
  4. Jesus is the Forgiver of sinners.
  5. Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath.
  6. Jesus is David's Lord.
  7. Jesus is the Lord of the angels, of demons, and of the elect.
  8. Jesus is the the divine Son of Man who comes on the clouds to reign forever.

In light of the foregoing, we can now exegete the passage to see what the Lord Jesus actually meant to say to the rich man. In the first place, Jesus didn't say "I am not good, only God is good", but simply poses a question to the man to think more deeply about the implications of his words.

My response:

What a load of lies that is.  Jesus clearly and irrefutably said NO ONE is "good except for GOD alone."  Jesus was not saying that the man should look deeper into who is a better "good".  Jesus clearly denied all Divine Goodness!

It's funny how with trinity and trinitarians, simple words and sentences are sometimes too difficult to comprehend.  They have to play word-games and twist and deceive to prove their hoaxes.  Hilarious indeed.

Now in regards to the 8 absurd points above, I have debunked all of them using Shamoun's own bible and proved that Jesus was in no way GOD Almighty Himself.  I also want to remind the reader about the irrefutable proofs that I presented above about the bible's corruption and man's alteration in it.

He wrote:

The implication being that if Jesus is good, and only God is good, then Jesus is God. Again, note the logic behind this:

  1. God alone is (absolutely) good.
  2. Jesus is (absolutely) good.
  3. Therefore, Jesus is God.

If the man truly believed this then he must be willing to abandon everything for Christ. This is precisely what Jesus demanded:

"And looking at him, Jesus felt love for him, and said to him, ‘One thing you lack: go and sell all you possess, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven; and come, FOLLOW ME.’" Mark 10:21

Jesus demands a devotion that is to be given solely to God. This is clearly seen in light of the fact that Jesus' demand was made right after the man had indicated his observance to the last six commands of the Ten Commandments. These commands were given to govern a person's relationship with others. The first four commandments govern a person's devotion to God. The man's trouble was that he loved money more than God, and hence his money became an idol. He had to be willing to die to his idolatry by giving it up in order to devote himself completely to the pure worship of God. Yet, amazingly, Jesus never asked the man to follow the first four commandments, or to follow God completely, but directed the man to follow him. The reason being is that to wholeheartedly follow the Lord Jesus is to fulfill one's obligation to God. Thus, Jesus was implicitly claiming to be God since he was basically saying that to follow him is to follow God, to obey him is to obey God, to love him is to love God. Therefore Jesus is God!

My response:

Your absurd conclusion and deliberate lies above about Jesus being GOD Himself because he was "the holy one of GOD," were soundly debunked in this rebuttal.  All Praise due to Allah Almighty.  You have miserably failed, once again, to prove satan's biggest lie, the trinity.

By the way, this is not the first time Sam Shamoun uses lies to prove his points.   I have documented some irrefutable lies of his in my site's special "Dumpster Section."   The most hilarious one is when he quoted Hebrews 1:8,10,11,12 and deliberately skipped Hebrews 1:9, which by itself refutes the lies that he fabricated regarding the mentioned verses, to twist the quotes and to deceive his reader and to falsely prove his trinity pagan lie.

I haven't linked this article in the dumpster section because it is not as sound as the others.  I don't want the reader to think that I am desperate in trying to hunt down Shamoun's brainless lies.

Anyway, It is definitely ridiculous that Shamoun thinks low of his readers and feels that he can get away with dumb lies and deceptions with them.  The Jesus being the "holy one of GOD" clearly proves this.
