My rebuttal to Sam Shamoun regarding Jesus asking GOD Almighty for forgiveness:

This article is a response to Mr. Sam Shamoun's rebuttal to my article.  His rebuttal is located at: http://www.answering-islam.org/Responses/Osama/forgivenness.htm

He wrote:

Osama begins:

Let us look at Luke 23:33-35 from the NIV Bible:

Luke 23

33  When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified him, along with the criminals--one on his right, the other on his left.
34  Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." [1] And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.
35  The people stood watching, and the rulers even sneered at him. They said, "He saved others; let him save himself if he is the Christ of God, the Chosen One."

Footnotes

23:34 Some early manuscripts do not have this sentence.

Two things to notice here:

1- For those Christians who say that the Bible is perfect, it is obvious that the historians and theologians of the NIV Bible disagree with them, because according to them, Luke 23:34 is a doubtful verse.  Please visit Most of the Bible's books and gospels were written by mysterious people! This is according to the NIV Bible community. Another proof that most of the Bible is not authentic nor reliable.

RESPONSE:

Osama is very inconsistent in how he handles the Holy Bible. When it is convenient, Osama will turn to Bible prophecy to allegedly prove that Muhammad was God’s prophet. Osama will then attack the Holy Bible when it clearly contradicts his beliefs as a Muslim. This exposes how irrational and inconsistent Muslim apologists truly are.

My response:

I am not really being inconsistent.  It's your funny Bible that is made up of 66+ different books and most of them were written by mysterious people according to the Bible's theologians.  I take the parts that agree with Islam as authentic and discard the parts that disagree with Islam.  You can call it "inconsistency" all you want, but as long as you refuse to learn the Truth of Islam, you will always be blind and foolish and think of those who don't buy your inconsistent Bible as foolish people, while the Bible itself is the master of inconsistency and foolishness.

Please visit: What parts of the Bible do Muslims believe are closest to the Truth? and Why?

He wrote:

The fact of the matter is that all ancient documents, including the Quran, have come down to us with variant readings. Yet, no honest textual critic assumes that a document is unreliable because it has variant readings.

My response:

The Noble Quran did not come down in "variant readings".  It came down in Arabic and in one dialect: the Quraishy dialect.  You can learn more about the History of the Preservation of the Noble Quran at: www.answering-christianity.com/quran/textual.htm

He wrote:

The Holy Bible has far greater MSS evidence supporting its textual purity than any other document from antiquity. It even has greater MSS support for its purity than the Quran itself! Furthermore, the Quran and early Islamic traditions also support the preservation and authenticity of the Holy Bible.

My response:

That's not what the Bible's theologians think Mr. Shamoun.  The Bible's theologians flat out admit and declare that most of the Bible's books and gospels were written by mysterious people!  Read their quotes by yourself and judge for yourself at: www.answering-christianity.com/authors_gospels.htm.

As to the Noble Quran and Islam supporting the preservation of the Bible, you obviously don't know what the Quranic Words "Injil" and "Torah" mean.  They don't mean the "New Testament" and "Old Testament".  They mean the revelations sent to Jesus in Injil, and to Moses in Torah, peace be upon both of those two Prophets.  The New Testament of today has little to do with what Jesus spoke.   In fact, if you were to collect the quotes of Jesus from the NT, then you would only get a column and a half of News paper worth.  That's all.  That's all what you have from Jesus' quotes in the 33 years he lived among the People of Israel.

My response:

Like I said above, the Bible's own theologians don't agree with you.  You can write thousands of pages of nonsense, but this still doesn't prove anything.

He wrote:

OSAMA:

2-  If Jesus was truly GOD Almighty, then he would've said something like this:   "I Jesus, the Sovereign LORD of this Universe, forgive them for they know not!".  Jesus never said anything like that.  He instead asked GOD Almighty to forgive them because they knew not.  How can anyone with an atom of a brain and common sense consider Jesus as GOD Almighty then?!

RESPONSE:

Instead of assuming what Jesus would’ve or could’ve have said, we need to deal with what Jesus actually did say. Once we do this, instead of disproving the doctrine of the Trinity, a careful exegesis of the passage, as well as an examination of the entire context of Luke, actually provides strong support for it.

Had Osama bothered checking up the original Greek text, he would have soon discovered that Jesus wasn’t asking, but demanding that the people be forgiven:

"Jesus said, ‘Father, forgive (aphes) them, for they do not know what they are doing.’ And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

The word for forgive, aphes, is a 2nd person singular aorist active imperative. According to Greek Grammarian William D. Mounce:

"There is no more forceful way in the Greek language to tell someone to do something than a simple imperative - particularly the second person imperative. Especially when such a command is given regarding a specific situation, the one giving that command sees himself as an authority figure. He expects those addressed to do exactly as he has ordered." (Basics of Biblical Greek Grammar [Zondervan Publishing House: Grand Rapids, MI 1993], p. 302; bold emphasis ours)

He also says that the imperative "is the mood of command ..." and that the "imperative mood is used when a verb expresses a command. It is also used to encourage or ask someone to do something." (Ibid., pp. 303, 307)

In reference to imperatives which function more as requests and entreaties than commands, Mounce states:

"This is called the ‘Imperative of Entreaty.’ You do not ‘command’ God to do something; you ‘entreat’ him, both in English and in Greek, e.g., ‘Give us this day our daily bread.’ (‘Give’ is an imperative.)" (Ibid., p. 307, n. 5)

Noted Greek Grammarian Dr. Daniel B. Wallace comments on the Greek imperative with the aorist tense:

"The imperative is most commonly used for commands, outnumbering prohibitive imperatives about five to one. As a command, the imperative is usually from a superior to an inferior in rank. It occurs frequently with the aorist and present (only rarely with the perfect tense).

The basic force of the imperative of command involves somewhat different nuances with each tense. With the aorist, the force generally is to command the action as a whole, without focusing on duration, repetition, etc. In keeping with its aspectual force, the aorist puts forth a summary command ..." (Greek Grammar Beyond the Basics [Zondervan Publishing House, Grand Rapids MI, 1996], p. 485; bold emphasis)

My response:

Mr. Shamoun, it's funny how you and your trinitarian fellows always try to elate Jesus to the level of the Creator of the Universe, while Jesus himself said otherwise as I will show in a moment.  Let me remind you that GOD in the Old Testament said that He will put the Spirit of Fearing GOD Almighty in Jesus!  Now any person with an atom of a brain would immediately realize that Jesus can not be the Creator of the Universe:

1.  A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.
2.  The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him (Jesus)-- the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of
counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD
(Jesus fearing his GOD)--
3.  and he will delight in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or
decide by what he hears with his ears;

(From the NIV Bible, Isaiah 11:1-3)

Also, please visit:  The Spirit of GOD Almighty came upon others before and after Jesus in the Bible.

Now for what Jesus himself said, let us look at few quotes:

"I do nothing of myself  (From the NIV Bible, John 8:28)"

"My Father (GOD) is greater than I  (From the NIV Bible, John 14:28)"

"Father (GOD), into thy hands I commend my spirit  (From the NIV Bible, Luke 23:46)"

"And Jesus said to him, ‘Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone.  (From the NIV Bible, Mark 10:18)"

"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.  (From the NIV Bible, Matthew 24:36)"

Do these quotes to a person with an atom of a brain suggest at all that Jesus is in the same level as the Creator of the Universe?

I've written a detailed article showing how Jesus continously BEGGED GOD Almighty, and declared that he had no Divine Will at:

Jesus had no Divine Will according to the New Testament. How could he be our Creator?
Ten detailed sub sections in this article:
1-  Jesus said he had no Divine Will.
2-  Jesus' repetitive Prayers contradicted his very own teachings.
3-  Jesus begged GOD Almighty for Mercy.
4-  Jesus prostrated to GOD Almighty only once during his most desperate times! This is hypocrisy by the way.
5-  GOD Almighty Created pain and death, and yet, Jesus feared them.
6-  The GOD of the O.T. Punishes to death those who cursed HIS HOLY NAME. How could Jesus escape to Egypt from King Herod.
7-  In original Hebrew, "son of GOD" literally means "SERVANT OF GOD".  See proofs.
8-  What about the authority in Heaven and Earth that was given to Jesus?
9-  None of Jesus' Miracles were unique in the Bible.
10-  Conclusion.

He wrote:

To put it simply, Jesus' use of the imperative shows that he was actually demanding that the Father forgive the individuals responsible for dividing up his clothing.

My response:

The point here is that Jesus didn't show any proof of him being GOD Almighty.  And according to the quotes I mentioned above, Jesus clearly declared that he was not GOD Almighty or part of GOD Almighty.  You're only assuming that he is demanding and asking.  Your whole logic is awkward!  You don't make any sense Mr. Shamoun.

He wrote:

He wasn't simply making an entreaty. We need to point out that by saying that Christ commanded his Father to perform a specific function, we are not implying that there is competition within the Godhead. Rather, we are simply highlighting the point that the Lord Jesus has the authority to make demands since he is equal to the Father in essence and is the object of the Father's infinite and eternal love. Yet, these demands are not done out of a dictatorial spirit, but out of a spirit of mutual love and the assurance that whatever Christ asks for he shall definitely receive:

"When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet him, but Mary stayed at home. ‘Lord,’ Martha said to Jesus, ‘if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.’" John 11:20-22

"So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, ‘Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.’" John 11:41-42

"I will not speak with you much longer, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold on me, but the world must learn that I love the Father and that I do exactly what my Father has commanded me. Come now; let us leave." John 14:30-31

"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love." John 15:9-10

"Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world." John 17:24

Now in order to establish the case that the Lord Jesus wasn't simply asking or encouraging the Father to forgive them, but making a demand based on his relationship to the Father as the divine Son, we need to read all that Luke has to say about the person and work of Christ. Once this is done, it becomes quite evident that Jesus is indeed the Sovereign Lord of all creation, the Father's eternally beloved Son, and because of this he is able to make certain demands of the Father.

My response:

Mr. Shamoun, let me ask you this:  Since you trinitarians are so big on the godhead and trinity dogmas, then why aren't these terms even mentioned in the Bible?   Let alone why aren't they elaborated on in the Bible?  You call trinity "The Holy Trinity", while the word itself doesn't even exist in the Bible!   You're making conclusions out of nonsense.  All of your trinity believe is based on man-made conclusions.  I feel sorry for you.

He wrote:

For instance, the Lord Jesus claims that sinners receive salvation, repentance and forgiveness in his name. In other words, Jesus states that he has both the ability and the authority to grant salvation, repentance and forgiveness to all that believe in him:

"He said to them, ‘This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.’ Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, ‘This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached IN HIS NAME to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things.’" Luke 24:44-48

"‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,’ the Lord replied. ‘Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen of me and what I will show you. I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith IN ME.’" Acts 22:16-18

My response:

There is a serious forgery in Luke 24:44-48!  It says that it is written that Jesus will die and resurrect on the third day.   Where in the Old Testament do you have that?!  Show me one Old Testament verse that prophesized about Jesus' third day resurrection Mr. Shamoun?

In fact, in my article Answering Isaiah 53, I clearly proved that the Old Testament actually confirms the Noble Quran's claims about Jesus never got crucified!  Let alone dying and resurrecting on the third day!

As to the book of Acts, it was written by mysterious author.  Read what the theologians of the NIV Bible said about this book:

"Although the author does not name himself, evidence outside the Scriptures and inferences from the book itself lead to the conclusion that the author was Luke.  (From the NIV Bible Commentary, page 1643)"

So based on some conclusion, you're willing to die for defending the idea that the Book of Acts was the True Word of GOD Almighty? If the book was inspired by GOD Almighty, then how come it wasn't mentioned in the book itself to help us filter it out from the many other "Satanic false books"? Are we sure that this book too is not a man-made Satanic book?

After all, its just a conclusion, isn't it?

Beside, what evidence are they talking about?!  The New Testament wasn't even documented on paper until 150-300 years (depending on what Christian you talk to) after Jesus.  So unless the Book/Gospel was signed by its author, there is no way we would know for sure that it was indeed his book from the first place, let alone considering it as the True Living Word of GOD.

He wrote:

The Apostles of the Lord reiterate this very point in their preaching:

"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is NO OTHER NAME under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12

"God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might give repentance and forgiveness of sins to Israel." Acts 5:31

"All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through HIS NAME." Acts 10:43

My response:

It's not "The Apostles of the Lord", because the book of Acts was written by a mysterious person or persons as shown above.

He wrote:

On a couple of occasions, the Lord Jesus forgave the sins of individuals on the basis of his own authority, something which the crowds knew only God could do:

"When Jesus saw their faith, he said, ‘Friend, your sins are forgiven.’ The Pharisees and the teachers of the law began thinking to themselves, ‘Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?’ Jesus knew what they were thinking and asked, ‘Why are you thinking these things in your hearts? Which is easier: to say, "Your sins are forgiven," or to say, "Get up and walk"? But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins ...’ He said to the paralyzed man, ‘I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.’ Immediately he stood up in front of them, took what he had been lying on and went home praising God. Everyone was amazed and gave praise to God. They were filled with awe and said, ‘We have seen remarkable things today.’" Luke 5:20-26

"‘Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven--for she loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little.’ Then Jesus said to her, ‘Your sins are forgiven.’ The other guests began to say among themselves, ‘Who is this who even forgives sins?’ Jesus said to the woman, ‘Your faith has saved you; go in peace.’" Luke 7:47-50

My response:

Let us look at the authenticity of the book of Luke:

"The author's name does not appear in the book, but much unmistakable evidence points to Luke.  (From the NIV Bible Commentary, page 1529)"

Again, we don't know for sure whether it was Luke or not who wrote the "Gospel of Luke" since his name doesn't appear in the Book. The Gospel itself seems to be a compromising one to the Word of GOD. Let us look at the following:

"Therefore, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, it seemed good also to me to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, (Luke 1:3)"

Few problems with this Gospel from the quote above:

1- The author was not inspired, and knew for sure that he was not inspired by GOD Almighty to write the Book since he didn't mention about any divine inspiration, and he said "...since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning..." Where do we see GOD's inspiration in this?

2- The author wrote it for the purpose of "his most excellent Theophilus." Since when we compromise GOD Almighty and document His Holy Words for the purpose of other higher (in rank) human beings?

I say it again, I hope you see the real danger in making these assumptions when you are willing to DIE for the fact that such Gospel is the actual True Word of GOD Almighty!

Also, beside, what evidence are they talking about?!  The New Testament wasn't even documented on paper until 150-300 years (depending on what Christian you talk to) after Jesus.   So unless the Book/Gospel was signed by its author, there is no way we would know for sure that it was indeed his book from the first place, let alone considering as the True Living Word of GOD.

Further from brother Vipor Poison; may Allah Almighty always be pleased with him:

Luke 1:3

Therefore, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, it seemed good also to me to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus,

The following is from the Catholic Encyclopedia:

http://newadvent.org/cathen/14625b.htm

http://newadvent.org/cathen/14625a.htm

If Theophilus existed in either the 2nd or the 4th centuries then how could the writer of this gospel be the same Luke who is supposed to be with Jesus in the 1st century.

Maybe he lived to about 200 years.. :)

He wrote:

Jesus also granted his followers authority to perform miracles, cast out demons and forgive peoples’ sins in his name:

"When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick." Luke 9:1-2

"‘Master,’ said John, ‘we saw a man driving out demons IN YOUR NAME and we tried to stop him, because he is not one of us.’ ‘Do not stop him,’ Jesus said, ‘for whoever is not against you is for you.’" Luke 9:49-50

"The seventy-two returned with joy and said, ‘Lord, even the demons submit to us IN YOUR NAME.’ He replied, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.’" Luke 10:17-20

My response:

Again, the gospel or book of Luke is not authentic.  It certainly isn't authentic according to the NIV Bible Theologians and Historians.

He wrote:

Christ specifically claimed that he had come to save sinners:

"But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, ‘Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.’" Luke 19:8-10

This salvation stemmed from Christ’s death on the cross for sinners:

"In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you." Luke 22:20

And:

"It is written: ‘And he was numbered with the transgressors’; and I tell you that this must be fulfilled IN ME. Yes, what is written about me is reaching its fulfillment." Luke 22:37

Jesus quotes Isaiah 53:12 in connection with his impending death on the cross. This is not the only place in Luke’s writings where Isaiah 53 is viewed as a messianic prophecy:

"Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, ‘Go south to the road--the desert road--that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.’ So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians. This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship, and on his way home was sitting in his chariot reading the book of Isaiah the prophet. The Spirit told Philip, ‘Go to that chariot and stay near it.’ Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. ‘Do you understand what you are reading?’ Philip asked. ‘How can I,’ he said, ‘unless someone explains it to me?" So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him. The eunuch was reading this passage of Scripture: ‘He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb before the shearer is silent, so he did not open his mouth. In his humiliation he was deprived of justice. Who can speak of his descendants? For his life was taken from the earth.’ The eunuch asked Philip, ‘Tell me, please, who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?’ Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus. Acts 8:29-35

My response:

Again, as I clearly showed above, the books of Luke and Acts were written by mysterious authors(s) and are not authentic.  We can't take such nonsense and declare that these are the Holy Words and Inspirations of GOD Almighty.

He wrote:

A careful examination of Isaiah 53 shows that the person in question, namely Yahweh’s servant, is going to suffer on behalf of the sins of God’s people. God’s servant is going to offer his life on behalf of the people of God in order to make atonement for them:

"Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. By oppression and judgment he was taken away. And who can speak of his descendants? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was stricken. He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it was the LORD's will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the LORD makes his life a guilt offering, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand. After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light of life and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities. Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors." Isaiah 53:1-12

By quoting Isaiah 53, Jesus is clearly identifying himself as the very One whose death procures salvation and the forgiveness of sins for God’s elect. It is little wonder that Christ could demand that the Father forgive those Roman soldiers, seeing that Jesus was being crucified in order to guarantee the forgiveness of such sinners!

The interesting part about all this is that the Old Testament says that sinners receive salvation and forgiveness in Yahweh’s name, and that redemption comes from Yahweh alone!

"For the sake of YOUR NAME, O LORD, forgive my iniquity, though it is great." Psalm 25:11

"Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits - who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases," Psalm 103:2-3

"O Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption. He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins." Psalm 130:7-8

"‘You are my witnesses,’ declares the LORD, ‘and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me. I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no savior.’" Isaiah 43:10-11

"I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, FOR MY OWN SAKE, and remembers your sins no more." Isaiah 43:25

"Declare what is to be, present it - let them take counsel together. Who foretold this long ago, who declared it from the distant past? Was it not I, the LORD? And there is no God apart from me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none but me." Isaiah 45:21

"But I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt. You shall acknowledge no God but me, no Savior except me." Hosea 13:4

My response:

For the reader's convenience, I will paste my detailed rebuttal of Isaiah 53 and all of the Old and New Testament verses that are associated with it and show clearly to the reader that Isaiah 53 actually agreed with the Noble Quran's claims:

Did Isaiah 53 really prophesies about the crucifixion of Jesus?

Trinitarian Christians claim that Chapter Isaiah 53 in the Bible confirms Trinity.  This article proves that Chapter Isaiah 53 along with Isaiah 52:13, John 19:36-37 and Psalm 34:20 prove without a doubt that Islam's claim about Jesus peace be upon him never died on the cross and was raised to Allah Almighty is indeed the Truth.   Let us look at the Chapter of Isaiah 53 in the Bible:

1
Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
2
He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
3
He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4
Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.
5
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.
6
We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7
He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.
8
By oppression and judgment he was taken away. And who can speak of his descendants? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was stricken.
9
He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death [The word "death" does not exist in the original Hebrew text.  Here is what the literal translation says: "And it appointeth with the wicked his grave, And with the rich [are] his high places"....This is verified at this link: (Young's Literal Translation)], though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.
10
Yet it was the LORD's will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the LORD makes his life a guilt offering, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand.
11
After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities.
12
Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death [This is clarified in details down in this article.  It doesn't at all mean that he will die.  The literal translation says: "Because that he exposed to death his soul"....This is verified again at this link: (Young's Literal Translation)], and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Isaiah 53 perfectly agrees with Islam:

Let us look at this Verse: "After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light and be satisfied;  (From the NIV Bible, Isaiah 53:11)"   The idea of this servant who will get pierced is NOT that he will DIE for people's sins.  Notice that in Isaiah 53:9 it clearly says "He was assigned a grave with the wicked", which means that he will have a grave assigned to his name, but it doesn't necessarily mean that his dead body will be in it.

The Bible's New Testament refutes the "piercing" story:

If we were to take the Bible literally, then we will see clear contradictions in the crucifixion story.  Let us look at what the Bible says about piercing Jesus:

John 19:30-40:

30
When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
31
Now it was the day of Preparation, and the next day was to be a special Sabbath. Because the Jews did not want the bodies left on the crosses during the Sabbath, they asked Pilate to have the legs broken and the bodies taken down.
32
The soldiers therefore came and broke the legs of the first man who had been crucified with Jesus, and then those of the other.
33
But when they came to Jesus and found that he was already dead, they did not break his legs.
34
Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus' side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water.
35
The man who saw it has given testimony, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, and he testifies so that you also may believe.
36
These things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled: "Not one of his bones will be broken,"
37
and, as another scripture says, "They will look on the one they have pierced."
38
Later, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Now Joseph was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly because he feared the Jews. With Pilate's permission, he came and took the body away.
39
He was accompanied by Nicodemus, the man who earlier had visited Jesus at night. Nicodemus brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds.
40
Taking Jesus' body, the two of them wrapped it, with the spices, in strips of linen. This was in accordance with Jewish burial customs.

First of all, notice the man-made third party narration in the book of John.  The NIV Bible's Historians and Theologians are not even sure who wrote the books of John, 1 John, 2 John and 3 John.  The original author(s) is mysterious.

In the above verses, the mysterious author suggests that Jesus' bones were reserved because the soldiers did not break his knees, hence this fulfills the Scriptures' prophecy that GOD will protect his body that not even a single bone would break.

Also see detailed refutations to Exodus 12:46, Numbers 9:12, Zechariah 12:10 and Psalm 34:20 that supposedly suggest that GOD Almighty was going to get pierced on the cross.

Let us look at the obvious contradiction in the above verses:

Taken from the above verses:   "These things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled: 'Not one of his bones will be broken,' and, as another scripture says, 'They will look on the one they have pierced.'  (From the NIV Bible, John 19:36-37)"

"he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.  (From the NIV Bible, Psalm 34:20)"

Notice in Psalm 34:20, it says that GOD Almighty will protect "all his bones".  So, not even an inch from his bones will be damaged according to the Scriptures.

As you might know, the crucifixion back then was done by nailing to the cross the hands and the ankles or the feet.  If GOD Almighty was going to protect Jesus' body that not even a single bone will be broken, then how would the crucifixion and the death of Jesus be possible then?!

My question to all Christians is:   How in the world is it possible for the feet to get nailed on the cross without any penetration to the bones by the nails, hence breaking part of the feet's bones?!

And for the parts of the Bible that suggest that Jesus actually died (which clearly contradict the Verses that I presented above), please visit What parts of the Bible do Muslims believe are closest to the Truth?

Important Note: Both Muslims and Christians believe that the grave of Jesus today is empty.  It doesn't have his body in it, because both believe that he was raised to Heaven.  The difference between Muslims and Christians in this issue is that Muslims believe that Jesus never died on the cross but was raised to GOD Almighty.   Christians believe that Jesus died on the cross and was RESURRECTED to GOD Almighty.  This is, however, not supported at all and was never foretold in the Old Testament.  I elaborated more and provided more evidence from both the Bible and the Noble Quran that support Islam's claim regarding this issue down in this article.

Please visit the article Contradictions in the resurrection story in the Bible.

In Isaiah 53, all it says is that he will get pierced which again it never mentioned the cross nor did it ever mention any sort of resurrection, not just in this chapter, but also throughout the Old Testament.  If this servant is indeed Jesus peace be upon him, then him being pierced and never dying seems to perfectly support the Islamic teaching about Prophet Jesus peace be upon him NEVER died on the cross for anyone's sins.

Also notice that Isaiah 53:11 clearly states that "he will see the light".  What is that light?  Could it be the light of Heaven?  Probably be raised to Heaven?   Christians do believe that Jesus peace be upon him was indeed raised to Heaven, and so do Muslims too.  However, we see no mention throughout the ENTIRE Old Testament including obviously Isaiah 53 any mention of resurrection, nor any mention for resurrection on the 3rd day or any day.  So does this mean that the servant will get pierced (by being put on the cross perhaps) and then get raised without dying?

Let us look at the following Noble Verse from the Noble Quran (The Muslims Holy Scripture): "That they rejected Faith; That they uttered against Mary A grave false charge;  That they said (in boast):  'We killed Christ Jesus The son of Mary, The Messenger of Allah.'  But they killed him not, Nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjunction to follow, for of a surety they killed him not.  Nay, Allah raised him up Unto Himself; and Allah Is Exalted in Power, Wise.  And there is none of the people of the book (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him  (Jesus) Before his death; And on the Day of Judgment He (Jesus) will be a witness Against them.   (The Noble Quran, 4:156-159)"

Now compare the Noble Verses to Isaiah 52:13 "...he will be raised and lifted up....".   Notice that Isaiah 52:13 did not say "....he will be RESURRECTED and lifted up...."  Not even once, did the Old Testament predict for the foretold Servant (Jesus) to be raised to GOD Almighty after death.  There absolutely no mention of any sort of resurrection in the Bible's Old Testament what so ever.

According to Islam, Jesus peace be upon him might have been put on the cross and might have got "pierced", but he never died.  According to Islam, he was raised to Allah Almighty and saved from death.  We Muslims believe that Prophet Jesus peace be upon him will come back again to earth and fight the army of Satan and defeat it, and then the Judgment Day will come.   According to Islam, every person (including Jesus) must taste death (The Noble Quran, 44:56).

Please visit the article Did Jesus get crucified according to Islam?

The point is that Chapter Isaiah 53 agrees a lot more with Islam's claims than with the current Christianity's claims, and it is confirmed in Isaiah 52:13.

There are several other Noble Verses in the Noble Quran that talk about Jesus such as the following:

"So peace is upon me [Jesus] the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life.  (The Noble Quran, 19:33)"

So what about Isaiah 53:12?  Doesn't it suggest that Jesus will actually die?

Let us look at Isaiah 5:12 "....because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors....."  This verse doesn't clearly state that the predicted servant will ACTUALLY DIE.  When we study carefully the poetical literature of Isaiah 53, and study carefully the claims made above, we see that "him pouring his life unto death" means that the goodness that he will bring from GOD Almighty, will be the light that will bring his people from darkness (death) into light (goodness).  He will defeat death (darkness).   Isaiah 5:12 does not state that he will die.  It clearly states that he will cover shadow or overwhelm death by his life.

If I pour my cup of cranberry juice on the white carpet, then I would create a big red spot on the carpet.  I wouldn't be changing the juice into carpet, or the carpet into juice.  No, I would simply defeat the whiteness of the carpet by the color of the juice.  That's what pouring the juice on the carpet means.

Same thing applies with the servant pouring his life unto death.   GOD Almighty considers evil doing and not believing in Him as equal to death.

Important Note: In many Verses in the Bible, we see that GOD Almighty used in Hebrew , Sheol, the word for "hell" as the same Hebrew word for "death".  That is why the Christian Jehovah Witnesses don't believe in "Hell Fire" as punishment for the unbelievers.  They believe that "Hell" is actual "Death".   So to put it in other words, Isaiah 53:12 could also mean that the Servant (Jesus) will over shadow or cover "hell (death)" with "life (good)".  So whoever believes in that Servant from the People of Israel will be saved from hell or death.

Have Isaiah 53:12 clearly said "and he will die for people's sins and resurrect after 3 days", then we would have nothing to argue about!

So Jesus pouring his life (good) unto death (bad), means that whomever believes in his message from the People of Israel will defeat bad (darkness) and will be saved, and will have Jesus' life (goodness).  This perfectly matches what Islam claims about our beloved Prophet Jesus peace be upon him.

Questions to Christians:

If indeed Isaiah 53 is another proof that Jesus peace be upon him is the Creator of this Universe, then explain to me why Isaiah 53 and the entire Old Testament failed to prophesies about Jesus' 3rd day resurrection?

If Islam is such a false religion, then why is Isaiah 53 so obviously agreeing with Islam? See Muhammad was prophesized in the Bible.

About Jesus peace be upon him:

Most Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of GOD and GOD Himself, came to earth, died for our sins and resurrected after 3 days.  If Isaiah 53 was indeed a Revelation from GOD Almighty, and Jesus peace be upon him was indeed GOD Himself, then this means that GOD Almighty predicted that He will get "pierced" for people's sins in Isaiah 53.

There are however problems with this Christian theory:

1- Jesus never by his own will died for anyone's sins. In fact, Jesus himself refused the idea of getting crucified and begged his GOD to take his soul before Jesus experiences the painful death of the cross.  "Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, 'My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.'  (From the NIV Bible, Matthew 26:39)"  This contradicts the Christian theory that GOD will be pierced for the sin of others because if Jesus had it his way, he wouldn't get killed nor even get hurt on the cross.

2- No where in the Old Testament do we see a Prophecy about Jesus' resurrection, let alone his resurrection on the 3rd day.  If GOD indeed predicted that He would get crucified in the Old Testament, then how come He only predicted the first half of the event and not the second half?  The resurrection on the 3rd day is a very important event in the Christian Theology, and is one of the main points that Jews and Christians debate about.

Jesus' Crucifiction and Resurrection:

As I mentioned above, most Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of GOD and GOD Himself, came to earth, died for our sins and resurrected after 3 days. Isaiah 53's failure to predict the resurrection of the pierced person left behind it a great deal of controversy!

If GOD Almighty were to get crucified for people's sins, then Isaiah 53 should've mentioned it, because after Jesus' crucifiction in the Bible, his body disappeared.

The Jews believe that Jesus' disciples and/or mother stole the body fearing that his body will be further humiliated (since he was nailed on the cross). So to protect the dignity of Jesus and his body, they "stole" his body.

The Christians believe that Jesus the "GOD Almighty" resurrected to Heaven!

Have Isaiah 53 mentioned that he will resurrect after 3 days to Heaven, then the issue would be resolved. But as I said above, Isaiah 53 doesn't talk at all about any form of resurrection of the person who is going to die for people's sins, nor any Verse in the entire Old Testament either. Isaiah 53 does not Prophecies about the coming of Jesus peace be upon him.

This is very important, because only GOD Almighty could resurrect people. The reason why the Old Testament never prophesied about any resurrection is because GOD Almighty never intended to send anyone to die for anyone's sins, nor did GOD Almighty promise that He will die and resurrect!

Important Note: Since the Bible was not documented until 150 to 300 years after Jesus peace be upon him, and during his ministry, nothing was ever documented on paper regarding his deity, we Muslims believe that a great deal of corruption had entered the Bible. The following reasons will clarify the Muslims' position:

1- As I mentioned above, the Old Testament doesn't in predict the resurrection of Jesus, nor it ever considered him as GOD.  Please read The "God" title in Isaiah 9:6 was given to others before and after Jesus.

2- The early Christians rejected Trinity and never believed in it.

3- The disciples of Jesus (John, Mark, Luke, etc...) didn't write the Gospels that were named after them in the New Testament.  I quoted from the NIV Bible the Christian Theologians themselves regarding the history of the NT.

4- We believe that few centuries after Jesus peace be upon him the Church tampered with the Bible and invented the Trinity belief.

5- We only believe in Jesus' personal quotes as closest to the truth.

6- Jesus himself in the New Testament taught what Islam teaches; the Oneness of GOD Almighty and doing Righteousness.

7- Jesus according to Islam never got killed on the cross.  Allah Almighty saved him. As I mentioned in point #5, we only believe in Jesus' quotes as closest to the Truth in the New Testament.  Islam's claims regarding Allah Almighty saving Jesus seem to fit with Jesus peace be upon him asking Allah Almighty to save him from crucifiction (Matthew 26:39).

He wrote:

Amazingly, Luke also shows that the first Christian believers prayed to Jesus in the same exact way that the OT believers prayed to Yahweh! For example, OT believers prayed to God by calling on his name:

"Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba, and there he called upon the name of the LORD, the Eternal God." Genesis 21:33

"Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel was among those who called on his name; they called on the LORD and he answered them." Psalm 99:6

"And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the LORD has said, among the survivors whom the LORD calls." Joel 2:32

This is precisely what the first Christians did, namely, call on the name of the Lord Jesus!

"In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision, ‘Ananias!’ ‘Yes, Lord,’ he answered. The Lord told him, ‘Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying. In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight.’ ’Lord,’ Ananias answered, ‘I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to YOUR SAINTS in Jerusalem. And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on YOUR NAME.’ But the Lord said to Ananias, ‘Go! This man is my chosen instrument to carry MY NAME before the Gentiles and their kings and before the people of Israel. I will show him how much he must suffer for MY NAME.’ Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, ‘Brother Saul, the Lord-Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here--has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit’… Saul spent several days with the disciples in Damascus. At once he began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God. All those who heard him were astonished and asked, ‘Isn't he the man who raised havoc in Jerusalem among those who call on THIS NAME? And hasn't he come here to take them as prisoners to the chief priests?’" Acts 9:10-17, 20-21

"A man named Ananias came to see me. He was a devout observer of the law and highly respected by all the Jews living there. He stood beside me and said, ‘Brother Saul, receive your sight!’ And at that very moment I was able to see him. Then he said: ‘The God of our fathers has chosen you to know his will and to see the Righteous One and to hear words from his mouth. You will be his witness to all men of what you have seen and heard. And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on HIS NAME.’ When I returned to Jerusalem and was praying at the temple, I fell into a trance and saw the Lord speaking. ‘Quick!’ he said to me. ‘Leave Jerusalem immediately, because they will not accept your testimony ABOUT ME.’ ‘Lord,’ I replied, ‘these men know that I went from one synagogue to another to imprison and beat those who believe IN YOU. And when the blood of YOUR martyr Stephen was shed, I stood there giving my approval and guarding the clothes of those who were killing him.’ Then the Lord said to me, ‘Go; I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’" Acts 22:12-21

My response:

Aside from the fact that the book of Acts is an unauthentic book as I clearly showed above from the NIV Bible's theologians quotes, but also Mr. Shamoun fell to realize that the word "Lord" doesn't necessarily mean GOD Almighty.  "Lord" is normally used for someone who is in leadership position.  We even call drug dealers as "drug lords".  So these verses don't prove anything about Jesus being the Creator of the Universe.  Jesus was certainly the Jew's Messiah and Leader.   But he was not the Creator of the Universe.

He wrote:

Luke records instances where the first disciples prayed to Jesus directly:

"‘Therefore it is necessary to choose one of the men who have been with us the whole time the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, beginning from John's baptism to the time when Jesus was taken up from us. For one of these must become a witness with us of his resurrection.’ So they proposed two men: Joseph called Barsabbas (also known as Justus) and Matthias. Then they prayed, ‘Lord, you know everyone's heart. Show us which of these two you have chosen to take over this apostolic ministry, which Judas left to go where he belongs.’" Acts 1:21-25

Note here that the first disciples testify to the omniscience of the Lord Jesus, stating quite unambiguously that Christ knows everyone’s heart!

And:

"While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, ‘Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.’ Then he fell on his knees and cried out, ‘Lord, do not hold this sin against them.’ When he had said this, he fell asleep." Acts 7:59-60

My response:

Again, doubtful verses from the doubtful book of Acts.  Also, please visit: Do People and Angels bowing down to Jesus in Worship really prove that he is the Creator of the Universe?  See how the word "Worship" used for Jesus doesn't even exist in the original Greek Bibles.  The Trinitarian English translations are nothing but hoaxes and deceptions.  The article responds to Matthew 15:9 and other English mistranslated verses in the Bible.

He wrote:

Stephen prays to the Lord Jesus in heaven to receive his spirit and asks the Lord to forgive those who were stoning him. Now compare this with the following OT citation:

"Into your hands I commit my spirit; redeem me, O LORD, the God of truth." Psalm 31:5

Even more amazing is that Stephen prayed to Jesus in a manner similar to the way Jesus prayed to the Father while hanging on the cross:

"Jesus said, ‘Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.’ And they divided up his clothes by casting lots ... Jesus called out with a loud voice, ‘Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.’ When he had said this, he breathed his last." Luke 23:34, 46

Please do note that it is the same inspired author who recorded both Jesus’ and Stephen’s final prayers. Hence, even though Christ himself prayed, Luke and the early Church could still view Jesus as the source of salvation and as the focus of their worship!

My response:

This is a ridiculous conclusion Mr. Shamoun.  It doesn't prove anything!   Like I asked earlier: Since you trinitarians are so big on the godhead and trinity dogmas, then why aren't these terms even mentioned in the Bible?  Let alone why aren't they elaborated on in the Bible?  You call trinity "The Holy Trinity", while the word itself doesn't even exist in the Bible!  You're making conclusions out of nonsense.  All of your trinity believe is based on man-made conclusions.  I feel sorry for you.

He wrote:

Furthermore, the Father himself uses the imperative in a context where Christ’s essential, abiding and divine glory as God’s Son comes to the forefront:

"About eight days after Jesus said this, he took Peter, John and James with him and went up onto a mountain to pray. As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning. Two men, Moses and Elijah, appeared in glorious splendor, talking with Jesus. They spoke about his departure, which he was about to bring to fulfillment at Jerusalem. Peter and his companions were very sleepy, but when they became fully awake, they saw HIS GLORY and the two men standing with him. As the men were leaving Jesus, Peter said to him, ‘Master, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters - one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.’ (He did not know what he was saying.) While he was speaking, a cloud appeared and enveloped them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud. A voice came from the cloud, saying, ‘This is MY SON, whom I have chosen; LISTEN TO HIM (autou akouete).’ When the voice had spoken, they found that Jesus was alone. The disciples kept this to themselves, and told no one at that time what they had seen." Luke 9:28-36

The verb "Listen," akouete, is a 2nd person present active plural imperative. The disciples are commanded by God to obey Jesus because he is God’s Son. Being God’s unique Son, Christ is both personally distinct from the Father who sent him and equal to him in essence and nature. Is it any wonder that Christ, the beloved Son of God, could also use the imperative in his prayer to make certain demands of his Father?

My response:

Mr. Shamoun, you utterly failed to see that most of the Bible is a third-party narration!  Luke 9:28-36 spoke about a very serious event that took place, which Jesus speaking with Moses and Elijah.  But who spoke these verses?  Were they inspired?  Or were they some gibrish nonsense written by somebody?

Subj: Letter from a Christian who agrees with you and cites with gratitude Quran 2:62
Date: 1/18/2003 6:48:58 PM Eastern Standard Time

*Thank you* for all your excellent work on the web site.  Those of us who followed Jesus (PBUH!) first and then came upon the Noble Quran know that there is one great religion, and that Jesus (PBUH!) and Muhammad (PBUH!) were both messengers of that religion.

Questions and observations I have for fellow Christians who have not yet actually read the Noble Quran include the following. Perhaps you could post them on your site.

BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN HE WHOM THE APOSTLES FOLLOWED:

1-  Where, specifically, in the Gospel does Jesus (PBUH!) mention the Trinity?

(If you find no such reference from his lips to a god residing in three persons -- and you will not -- then perhaps you will be moved to consider the following questions:)

2-  How could Jesus (PBUH!) possibly have omitted to mention something of such extraordinary importance?

* How could the authors of the four Gospels have made the same extraordinary omission?

(For no direct reference to the Trinity appears in any chapter or verse of any of the four Gospels. It is a patching-on from a later era.)

3-  Why does Jesus (PBUH!) in the Lord's prayer address the Lord as "Father" and then refer to the Father's children throughout as "Us" and "We," instead of separating himself from the rest of the children of God, as the Trinity would seem to demand?

4-  (And here, brothers and sisters, is the big question, the question that takes no small degree of courage to address honestly:)  If redemption through the blood of Christ, that one member of the Trinity, is all that is necessary for salvation, how are we to explain the many, many occasions in the Gospel that Jesus (PBUH!) details the necessity of submitting directly to the One God -- without ever mentioning the role of his (Jesus', PBUH!) redeeming blood?

Brothers and sisters: Are these not extraordinary teachings? Are they not central to the ministry of Jesus (PBUH!)? And must we not confront dozens of them in order to defend the Trinity and the notion of the sacrificial Christ?

I am thinking, specifically, of:

1. His instruction to "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind." (Matthew 22:27.) -- Jesus [PBUH!] identifies this submission to the One God as the *supreme* commandment, and yet for some reason he makes no mention within it of the sacrificial Christ or to one god in three persons, which are supposedly central to his ministry! Quite an oversight! Or are we to assume that Jesus [PBUH!] never actually uttered these words about the supreme commandment?

2. His parable of the Prodigal Son. This contains no reference whatsoever to the sacrificial Christ, or to any intermediary whatsoever for salvation. And the parable certainly makes no reference to the repentant son returning from his sinful journey to a father who takes the form of three persons. He returns to ONE father, not three. Surely we must either conclude that this, the most celebrated of the parables, has nothing to do with the Trinity or with the notion of a sacrificial Christ -- or, if we wish to retain the Trinity and the notion of a sacrificial Christ, we must conclude that this is not an authentic teaching of Jesus [PBUH!]. Brothers and sisters, fellow Christians -- which is it to be?

3. His instruction to become as children (humble, trusting, submitting to the Lord) in order to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. (See Matthew 18:3.) There is no mention here of the sacrificial Christ as necessary to this entry to the Kingdom, and certainly no mention of one god in three persons! Again: Are we to believe that this is not an authentic teaching of Jesus [PBUH!]? We must assume such a position if we wish to support the Trinity and the notion of a sacrificial Christ.

4. His insistence on the importance of the individual's development of personal faith, without intermediaries, in the One God. This, my brothers and sisters, is Islam! If that word frightens us, or if we wish to make ourselves feel more comfortable with the actual content of this divine ministry, sidestepping for the moment its verbal labels, we may call it "Jesus' ministry" or "Jesus' teachings." (PBUH!) But his ministry is manifestly one of submission to the One God, and we must think long and hard about the consequences of rejecting it in its true form. There are dozens of examples of such Gospel teachings about the development of STRONG individual faith WITHOUT INTERMEDIARIES, among them Matthew 6:23, 7:7, 17:20, Mark 11:23, Luke 9: 61-62, Luke 15:8, etc. etc. -- and yet there is no mention in any of these or the many other such passages of the sacrificial Christ or of one god in three persons! Is not this a remarkable fact? How are we to account for it?

Brothers and sisters, I ask you as one who has closely studied the Gospel of Jesus (PBUH!) for thirty years: What kind of faith can we claim to be developing through the religion that bears this man's name, if such faith is at variance with what he actually taught? Why, in other words, did Jesus (PBUH!) bother to teach his followers -- you and I, brothers and sisters -- of the growth of the mustard seed, of the woman who seeks for the ten silver pieces, of the impossibility of being fit for the Kingdom of God for one who sets his hand to the plough and then keeps looking back -- why did he pronounce all these extraordinary exhortations to PERSONAL, UNMEDIATED faith in the One God, if all of them are to be superseded by his own unique personal role as a member of the Trinity and his personal blood-sacrifice for a sinful humanity? Again, we must choose whether we are to accept the Trinity and the notion of a sacrificial Christ, or we must choose to accepts the teachings of Jesus (PBUH!) concerning personal faith in the One God.

It is not a difficult choice, brothers and sisters.

There are, we would all agree, many corruptions in the New Testament. There are many points where the various texts contradict themselves or send strange messages patched on in later years. Yet if we read the texts carefully, we can identify those portions of the text that illuminate Jesus' actual ministry on earth. It is clearly a ministry that preaches submission to the One God.

Brothers and sisters -- seek carefully out the words of the man we have for so long called the Lord, and remember his words to us: "Why do you say Lord, Lord, and not do what I say?"

This is an excellent question!

Here is another example of Christ making demands or issuing commands and getting them answered:

"‘Father, GLORIFY (doxason) your name!’ Then a voice came from heaven, ‘I have glorified it, and will glorify it again.’ The crowd that was there and heard it said it had thundered; others said an angel had spoken to him. Jesus said, ‘This voice was for your benefit, not mine.’" John 12:28-30

Doxason is a 2nd person aorist active imperative singular verb. Note that the Father responds immediately to his Son's prayer!

These examples clearly demonstrate that Christ is indeed the Sovereign Lord of all creation.

My response:

How can Jesus be the "Sovereign Lord of all creation" when he glorified his GOD Almighty in John 12:28 that you mentioned above, and GOD had put the spirit of fearing GOD Almighty in him:

He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or
decide by what he hears with his ears;

(From the NIV Bible, Isaiah 11:1-3)

Again, I've written a detailed article showing how Jesus continously BEGGED GOD Almighty, and declared that he had no Divine Will at:

He wrote:

Since the NT shows that salvation is granted in the name of Christ, while the OT says it is in Yahweh’s name from which salvation is derived, the Lord Jesus must therefore be Yahweh God! There is simply no other way around this.

My response:

Wow, what a conclusion Mr. Shamoun.  I am really impressed!

He wrote:

Add to this the consistent NT teaching that there is only one God, and you can see why the early Church ended up with the doctrine of the Trinity! Cf. John 17:3; Romans 3:30; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Galatians 3:20; Ephesians 4:6; 1 Thessalonians 1:9; 1 Timothy 2:5; James 2:19.

OSAMA:

Is there something here that my brain is so stupid that it can't grasp?!  I mean, how much more clear can Jesus be in the Bible about not being the Creator of the Universe?!  When he was asked about the time of the Hour, he said: Only GOD knew.   When he lived on earth, he prayed to GOD Almighty by bowing his face down all the way to the ground in humility to GOD Almighty.  When he was here on earth, he said with his own tongue "Why call me good? There none good by He. That is GOD."   Please visit: Questions about Jesus that trinitarian Christians don't have logical answers for, to see the references to everything Jesus said and did that prove he wasn't GOD Almighty.

I mean, seriously, am I really extremely stupid for not seeing the truth in trinity?   Or is it simply that trinitarian Christians love to be polytheists and pagans?

I once saw a whole hour of Pastor Charles Stanley (he is probably the most popular Christian minister in the US) explaining and desperately proving how Jesus is the Sovereign LORD and Creator of the Universe.  He spent a whole hour trying to prove through ridiculous personal interpretations and conclusions that Jesus is the Creator of the Universe.

RESPONSE:

It is evident that the problem is with Osama, not with the Holy Bible. An accurate reading of the Holy Bible leads to the inevitable conclusion that the Lord Jesus is the Creator of the universe.

My response:

I am glad you said Mr. Shamoun.  "inevitable conclusion that the Lord Jesus is the Creator of the universe".  It's just a lousy conclusion that you will pay the ultimate price for in the End.  Is your god that pathetic and stupid that he leaves you confused in conclusions to discover the Truth?   That is not my GOD Almighty Mr. Shamoun.

Allah Almighty is the Sovereign LORD of this Universe:

"Say: He is God, the One and Only; God, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him.  (The Noble Quran, 112:1-4)"

Please visit:  "Allah" was GOD Almighty's original Name in the Bible according to the original Hebrew and Aramaic sources.

And about Jesus peace be upon him, here is what Allah Almighty said about him:

"Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute.  (The Noble Quran, 19:34)"

"The similitude of Jesus before God is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: "Be". And he was.  (The Noble Quran, 3:59)"

"And behold! God will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of God'?" He will say: "Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, Thou I know not what is in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden.   (The Noble Quran, 5:116)"

"O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of God aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an apostle of God, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in God and His apostles. Say not "Trinity" : desist: it will be better for you: for God is one God: Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is God as a Disposer of affairs.  (The Noble Quran, 4:171)"

"Curses were pronounced on those among the Children of Israel who rejected Faith, by the tongue of David and of Jesus the son of Mary: because they disobeyed and persisted in excesses.  (The Noble Quran, 5:78)"

"The same religion has He established for you (i.e., Muhammad) as that which He enjoined on Noah - the which We have sent by inspiration to thee - and that which We enjoined on Abraham, Moses, and Jesus: Namely, that ye should remain steadfast in religion, and make no divisions therein: to those who worship other things than God, hard is the (way) to which thou callest them. God chooses to Himself those whom He pleases, and guides to Himself those who turn (to Him).  (The Noble Quran, 42:13)"

"We gave Moses the Book and followed him up with a succession of apostles; We gave Jesus the son of Mary Clear (Signs) and strengthened him with the holy spirit. Is it that whenever there comes to you an apostle with what ye yourselves desire not, ye are puffed up with pride?- Some ye called impostors, and others ye slay!  (The Noble Quran, 2:87)"

"And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light, and confirmation of the Law that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear God.  (The Noble Quran, 5:46)"

"Those apostles We endowed with gifts, some above others: To one of them God spoke; others He raised to degrees (of honour); to Jesus the son of Mary We gave clear (Signs), and strengthened him with the holy spirit. If God had so willed, succeeding generations would not have fought among each other, after clear (Signs) had come to them, but they (chose) to wrangle, some believing and others rejecting. If God had so willed, they would not have fought each other; but God Fulfilleth His plan.  (The Noble Quran, 2:253)"

"Say ye: "We believe in God, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) prophets from their Lord: We make no difference between one and another of them: And we bow to God (in Islam)."  (The Noble Quran, 2:136)"

"Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! God giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to God;  (The Noble Quran, 3:45)"

"When Jesus found Unbelief on their part He said: "Who will be My helpers to (the work of) God?" Said the disciples: "We are God's helpers: We believe in God, and do thou bear witness that we are Muslims.   (The Noble Quran, 3:52)"

"Behold! God said: "O Jesus! I will take thee and raise thee to Myself and clear thee (of the falsehoods) of those who blaspheme; I will make those who follow thee superior to those who reject faith, to the Day of Resurrection: Then shall ye all return unto me, and I will judge between you of the matters wherein ye dispute.  (The Noble Quran, 3:55)"

"That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Apostle of God";- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) know ledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:-  (The Noble Quran, 4:157)"

"Then will God say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Recount My favour to thee and to thy mother. Behold! I strengthened thee with the holy spirit, so that thou didst speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. Behold! I taught thee the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel and behold! thou makest out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, by My leave, and thou breathest into it and it becometh a bird by My leave, and thou healest those born blind, and the lepers, by My leave. And behold! thou bringest forth the dead by My leave. And behold! I did restrain the Children of Israel from (violence to) thee when thou didst show them the clear Signs, and the unbelievers among them said: 'This is nothing but evident magic.'  (The Noble Quran, 5:110)"

"Behold! the disciples, said: "O Jesus the son of Mary! can thy Lord send down to us a table set (with viands) from heaven?" Said Jesus: "Fear God, if ye have faith."  (The Noble Quran, 5:112)"

"Said Jesus the son of Mary: "O God our Lord! Send us from heaven a table set (with viands), that there may be for us - for the first and the last of us - a solemn festival and a sign from thee; and provide for our sustenance, for thou art the best Sustainer (of our needs)."  (The Noble Quran, 5:114)"

"And Zakariya and John, and Jesus and Elias: all in the ranks of the righteous:  (The Noble Quran, 6:85)"

"When (Jesus) the son of Mary is held up as an example, behold, thy people raise a clamour thereat (in ridicule)!  (The Noble Quran, 43:57)"

"And (Jesus) shall be a Sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment): therefore have no doubt about the (Hour), but follow ye Me: this is a Straight Way.  (The Noble Quran, 43:61)"

"When Jesus came with Clear Signs, he said: "Now have I come to you with Wisdom, and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) on which ye dispute: therefore fear God and obey me.  (The Noble Quran, 43:63)"

"Then, in their wake, We followed them up with (others of) Our apostles: We sent after them Jesus the son of Mary, and bestowed on him the Gospel; and We ordained in the hearts of those who followed him Compassion and Mercy. But the Monasticism which they invented for themselves, We did not prescribe for them: (We commanded) only the seeking for the Good Pleasure of God; but that they did not foster as they should have done. Yet We bestowed, on those among them who believed, their (due) reward, but many of them are rebellious transgressors.  (The Noble Quran, 57:27)"

"And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said: "O Children of Israel! I am the apostle of God (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me, and giving Glad Tidings of an Apostle to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad." But when he came to them with Clear Signs, they said, "this is evident sorcery!"  (The Noble Quran, 61:6)"  Please visit Jesus mentioned Muhammad by the name in the Bible.

"O ye who believe! Be ye helpers of God: As said Jesus the son of Mary to the Disciples, "Who will be my helpers to (the work of) God?" Said the disciples, "We are God's helpers!" then a portion of the Children of Israel believed, and a portion disbelieved: But We gave power to those who believed, against their enemies, and they became the ones that prevailed.  (The Noble Quran, 61:14)"

Mr. Shamoun, thanks to Allah Almighty, I don't need to make conclusions.  I have the clear Truth from the Noble Quran.  I'll leave the baffling with conclusions for you and your polytheist pagan trinitarian friends to continue playing with while you're in Hell Fire.  May be you'll figure out a conclusion to your fate while your roasting in Hell.

I am sorry, I don't mean to sound rude or mean, but playing with GOD Almighty in this ridiculous way Mr. Shamoun will only lead you to the Ultimate Destruction!  And that is not a conclusion!

For instance, Osama’s appeal to Christ’s statement that he doesn’t know the Hour, or that Christ prayed, or his saying that only God is good shows that Osama hasn’t even bothered to study the biblical responses which explains the exact meaning of these statements in their respective contexts. He simply pulls verses out of context and thinks that he has somehow managed to undermine the biblical basis for the doctrine of the blessed Trinity.

My response:

Where is your logic when you pack GOD Almighty in a box of a ridiculous conclusion?   You think you're smart when you come up with conclusions.  You think you showed the world that you studied hard and researched hard.  You're only making a fool out of yourself Mr. Shamoun.  Trinity had turned you into a stupid person, not a smart one.  It added a lot of confusions to you.

You know what's really stupid Mr. Shamoun?  It is you believing in third-party narrations in your books and gospels of the Bible and claim that it was inspired by GOD Almighty Himself while these books and gospels don't even make such claim.

OSAMA:

I have never seen more awkward and more confused people than the trinitarian Christians.  I really feel sorry for them, because they have trapped themselves into polytheism, and associated themselves with the pagan idol worshipers, such as the Hindus and the Buddhists.

As you know, my last name is "Abdallah", which means "Servant of Allah".  Some pathetic Arab Christians name themselves as "Abdulsaleeb", which means "Servant of the cross", or "slave of the cross".  They have taken even the crosses that the pagan Romans used for crucifying innocent people and associated such worthless earthly objects with GOD Almighty.  Is GOD Almighty really that cheap to the Christians?

I once had a Christian woman told me that even if Jesus was not GOD Almighty, then it would still be ok to pray to him and ask for his forgiveness, because GOD "sent him to us".  I really don't think that I am being unfair when I say that most Christians don't really have much regard nor respect to the real divinity of GOD Almighty.   They think it's ok to insult Him and to chop Him into three pieces under the pagan theology of trinity.

RESPONSE:

First, Osama’s tirade and insult against Trinitarians is more an indication of Osama’s depraved mind than it is of Christian believers in the true, eternal triune God.

My response:

This is a cheap shot that is not worth responding to.

He wrote:

Second, the reason why some Christians choose to call themselves servants of the cross is because of the words of our beloved Master:

"Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and anyone who does not take his cross AND FOLLOW ME is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it." Matthew 10:37-39

My response:

Mr. Shamoun, I regretfully don't expect you to really understand any of this, but as I clearly proved above, the entire Bible, especially the New Testament, is not authentic at all!  The problem with the book and gospels of the NT is that they were written in a 300-year span.  Many of them have long years of differences between them.  For instance, the book of Mark is believed to be 50 years older than the book of Matthew.   This is what I personally heard from the commentary of Ministers on the movie "From Jesus to Christ".  So as we can see, we can't really take every thing that was said from Jesus and about Jesus as authentic from the Bible, because the so-called books and gospels were not (1) Written by Jesus himself; (2) Nor were they written in the same time or year.  There are even centuries between some of them!   So it should be easy for you to see how easy it was to insert fabrications and lies into the Bible.

He wrote:

The cross symbolizes the life of self-sacrifice. It calls true believers to die to themselves and to their own desires in order to devote themselves wholeheartedly to the risen and immortal Lord and Savior.

My response:

This is all a bunch of nonsense that was taken from a book that is filled with man-made nonsense Mr. Shamoun.  My article Answering Isaiah 53 actually shows how the OT agrees with the Noble Quran regarding Jesus not getting crucified.

He wrote:

The Apostle Paul sums it best:

"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Galatians 2:20

This is why true believers are not ashamed to boast in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ:

"May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world." Galatians 6:14

The cross also symbolizes our salvation, that God in his great and infinite love sent his Son to die for the full redemption of his children. It symbolizes the salvation which God freely bestowed on true believers through faith in Jesus Christ:

"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God ... but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God." 1 Corinthians 1:18, 23-24

Amazingly, Osama’s blasphemous tirade against the cross of Christ confirms the truthfulness of the preceding passage. It shows that the Apostle Paul was correct in his inspired assessment that the cross of Christ is scandalous and offensive to those who are perishing. As he says elsewhere, the cross is quite offensive to those who are dead in their sins:

"Brothers, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished." Galatians 5:11

My response:

Mr. Shamoun, you quote from Paul, a person who never even met Jesus in person.  He claimed that he met Jesus and people just took him for granted.  I hope you see the real weakness in your Bible.  Paul by the way is very controversial among the Christian community.  Many popular Christian ministers don't believe in him.

Finally, one who lives in a glass house shouldn’t cast stones at others, especially when one’s religion promotes pagan rituals and idolatry. Osama knows very well that all of the Islamic rituals connected with the Kabah are actually pagan in origin:

My response:

No, I don't know well that Islam is a religion that promotes pagan rituals and idolatry.  This is a childish statement from you.  Also, Islam is completely anti paganism and polytheism.  It's your pagan trinity that is all about godheads and multiple gods and polytheism.  Islam is not about that at all:

"Say: He is God, the One and Only; God, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him.  (The Noble Quran, 112:1-4)"

Your biased resources don't prove anything Mr. Shamoun.  The Noble Quran proved itself to be GOD Almighty's Holy Revelation.  Therefore, any claim found in the Noble Quran is the Truth as far as any Muslim is concerned.

Also, I did prove from your very own Bible that the city of "Paran" is the city of "Mecca".  So even your conclusions from your sources had been soundly refuted, and it was clearly shown from your sources that Ishmael and Abraham peace be upon them did indeed build the Kaaba.

He wrote:

Muhammad also kissed a stone:

Narrated Salim that his father said: I saw Allah's Apostle arriving at Mecca; he kissed the Black Stone Corner first while doing Tawaf and did ramal in the first three rounds of the seven rounds (of Tawaf). (Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 26, Number 673)

Narrated 'Abis bin Rabia:
'Umar came near the Black Stone and kissed it and said:
"No doubt, I know that you are a stone and can neither benefit anyone nor harm anyone. Had I not seen Allah's Apostle kissing you I would not have kissed you." (Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 26, Number 667- see also 675, 676, 679, 680)

My response:

In Islam, it is not mandatory for any Muslim to kiss the stone.  But however, it is believed that this stone was sent from Heaven.  That's why the Prophet peace be upon him kissed that stone.  But like I said, it is not mandatory to kiss that stone or any object.

He wrote:

The true God of Abraham would never send a black stone for his followers to kiss. There is no biblical basis supporting the kissing of inanimate objects in religious contexts. In fact, when Israel started venerating an object which God used as a means of healing Israel, that object was destroyed:

"They traveled from Mount Hor along the route to the Red Sea, to go around Edom. But the people grew impatient on the way; they spoke against God and against Moses, and said, ‘Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the desert? There is no bread! There is no water! And we detest this miserable food!’ Then the LORD sent venomous snakes among them; they bit the people and many Israelites died. The people came to Moses and said, ‘We sinned when we spoke against the LORD and against you. Pray that the LORD will take the snakes away from us.’ So Moses prayed for the people. The LORD said to Moses, ‘Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.’ So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, he lived." Numbers 21:4-9

"He did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father David had done. He removed the high places, smashed the sacred stones and cut down the Asherah poles. He broke into pieces the bronze snake Moses had made, for up to that time the Israelites had been burning incense to it. (It was called Nehushtan.)" 2 Kings 18:3-4

This shows that God will not tolerate the veneration of objects that he himself commissioned. How much more, then, would God condemn the kissing of a stone that HE NEVER COMMISSIONED HIS FOLLOWERS TO MAKE in the first place?!

My response:

We don't care what the Bible says because we don't follow it.  Like I said, it is not mandatory in Islam to kiss that stone.  The Prophet peace be upon him decided to kiss it because it is believed that the stone was sent from Heaven.  It was his personal preference to show Allah Almighty gratefullness.  But we're not obligated to follow that practice.

He wrote:

Amazingly, the Lord Jesus likens his own death to Moses’ bronze serpent:

"Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes IN HIM may have eternal life." John 3:14-15

Jesus’ statement serves as a warning against anyone who would venerate and pray to symbols and images of crosses. Just as God condemned the veneration of an object which he himself used to heal his people, God also condemns the worship of crosses, since we are not to look to the cross in worship. We are instead to look to the One that died on the cross, namely the Lord Jesus, as the object of our worship:

"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:2

My response:

We Muslims agree that Jesus peace be upon him was lifted to Heaven.  We have no disagreement there.  The Noble Quran like I said had proven itself to be the True Revelation from Allah Almighty.  This is proven in The Miracles of Islam and the Noble Quran.

Also, please visit The Noble Quran section, and read the "Prophecies" sub section to see the great Prophecies that were fulfilled only in the Noble Quran.   The Noble Quran also made mention and promised the discovery of lost ancient cities and people's bodies, and these promises were all fulfilled today.

Interestingly, even the very symbol of the crescent and five-point star, found on many Islamic flags, is pagan in origin:

This is the well-known ideogram found on for instance the flags of Turkey and Pakistan. Positioned in various ways it appears on several of the Islamic countries' national flags. This ideogram is a general symbol for the Islamic faith. It combines the pictorial sign for the waning moon and the sign for the planet Venus as the Morning star.
The five points of the Venus star are in this context said to represent the five pillars of Islam: ... (Source: http://www.symbols.com/encyclopedia/24/2464.html)

Five Pointed Star
This is also known as a Pentacle or a Pentagram. For neo-pagans this is symbolic of the four elements: air, water, earth, fire + spirit. See the qualities page for details. Pythagoras held the number 5 to be the sum of the feminine element (2) and the masculine element (3), so it is also symbolic of a union of masculine and feminine. The symbol also has meaning in Taoism, Hinduism and Islam. (Source: http://hunter.apana.org.au/~gallae/hecate/reference/symbols/symbols_goth.htm)

The crescent moon and star is a popularly recognised symbol for Islam, though it does not officially represent the religion. The crescent moon was originally the symbol for the city of Constantinople (now Istanbul, Turkey) which was conquered by the Muslim Ottomans in 1453. The Ottoman Empire kept this symbol (it is uncertain when and why the star was added) and ruled the Muslim world for centuries. The original symbol probably represents a pagan deity. (Source: http://www.gaymidlands.org/culture3b.html)

In the 6th century A.D., in the areas of Arabia (present-day Saudi Arabia), polytheism pervaded the Arabic tribes living there. A supreme god named Allah (Arabic; "the deity") was worshipped as was his consort Allat (feminine of Allah), who belonged to a triple goddess pantheon which consisted of Allat worshipped in the form of a square stone, Al-Manat (goddess of fate) worshipped in the form of a black stone, and Al-Uzza (goddess of East Mecca) who had human sacrifices carried out in her name. In all, there was a total of 360-deities. Among them was Hubal, god of the Ka'ba worshipped in the form of a man, and another god named Al-Rahman (Arabic; "merciful"). In fact, the term Al-Rahman would be used 169-times to describe Allah in the Islamic holy book the Qur'an (Arabic; "the recitation"). Soon, these deities would be totally forsaken, although their names and locale would be instrumental in the founding of a new religion thereafter known as Islam. An ancient pagan symbol would be used to depict this new religion; the ancient Babylonian symbol of the god & goddess. (Note: The star represented the god Ningal, and the crescent moon represented the goddess Nannar). (Source: http://www.geocities.com/exwitch/eleventhpage.html)

In other words, it is Islam that is pagan and polytheistic in nature! Now Osama may claim that the symbol of the crescent and five-pointed star does not originate from Muhammad or the first Muslims. That may be fine and dandy, but that still doesn't excuse Muslims who boast in being devotees of pure monotheism from adopting pagan symbols. Also, this still doesn't solve the problem regarding the rites of Islam since practices such as the kissing of the black stone are nothing more than pagan and idolatrous rites condemned by the true God in his true word, the Holy Bible.

My response:

The crescent is only used for determining the start and finish of the Fasting Month of Ramadan.  Allah Almighty clearly refuted the bogus theory of "moon god" and all the other nonsense that anti-Muslims falsely claim against Islam.

Please visit: Is Allah really a "moon god"?   It's funny how some anti-Islamics claim this, while the Noble Quran directly refutes this: "Among His Sings are the Night and the Day, and the Sun and the Moon. Adore not the sun and the moon, but adore God, Who created them, if it is Him ye wish to serve.  (The Noble Quran, 41:37)"

Also, please visit: What is Fasting in Islam?  And what is the Wisdom behind it?  What is Ramadan?

As to the five pillars of Islam, they are:  (1) "Al-Shahadatyn", which means the "Two Bearing of Witnesses".  In order for a person to embrace Islam, he would have to say: "I bear witness that there is no GOD but Allah, and Muhammad is His Servant and Messenger".  (2) Praying; (3) Fasting the Month of Ramadan; (4) Al-Zakah, which is paying 2.5% of your annual income for charity; and (5) Al-Hajj, which is doing pilgrimage to Mecca if you're physically capable and you are debt free.

All of the five pillars were extracted directly from the Noble Quran.  Many Muslims strongly believe that the pillars of Islam are 6 and not 5.  The 6th one is Jihad, which is fighting for the cause of Allah Almighty and Justice.  Jihad is not just limited to physical wars.  Jihad can also be through peaceful actions.  I am right now doing Jihad by spreading Islam through my web site.  I don't have to go out and fight to do Jihad.  But when fighting is a must, then I must fight to defend the Truth and Justice.

Your bogus conclusions about Islam's pillars being similar to paganism is exactly similar to your bogus conclusion about trinity.  It is nothing but a bunch of gibrish nonsense.  Go ahead and keep going with your funny conclusions and keep making a fool out of yourself Mr. Shamoun.

He wrote:

In conclusion, Osama has provided nothing of substance to deny the biblical truth that the true God Yahweh is a triune Being, and that the Lord Jesus is fully and eternally God in nature, the second Person of the blessed Trinity.

My response:

Mr. Shamoun, your whole Bible is unauthentic and is very doubtful according to your own theologians.  Also, I am glad you said "blessed Trinity" with a capital "T".  This shows how ridiculous you and your trinitarian friends are because the word itself doesn't even exist in the Bible, nor is this concept elaborated on at all in the Bible.  It is only a goofy conclusion that your people decided to come up with.  My GOD Almighty is not the GOD of confusion Mr. Shamoun.

He wrote:

By God’s sovereign and perfect grace, we continue to remain in the service of our immortal Savior Jesus Christ. Amen. Come Lord Jesus, come. We love and worship you forever since you are God’s eternally beloved and unique Son. Amen.

My response:

Prophet Jesus peace be upon him will come back again to fight the devil and his army, and the polytheists whom your people, the polytheist trinitarian pagans, are part of.  I feel sorry for you Mr. Shamoun.  You have degraded yourself to the level of pagans and polytheists by accepting the pagan concept of trinity, which originated from the hindus 3 godhead nonsense.

I also added refutations to Exodus 12:46, Numbers 9:12, Zechariah 12:10 and Psalm 34:20, which supposedly prove the Christians' belief about Jesus crucifixion.  I proved that this dogma has no truth what so ever and exposed the wrong Trinitarian English translation of Zechariah 12:10.
